(ZANESVILLE, OHIO) The Bart Hartman Racing team has strung together several wins in the month of May, culminating with their $5,000 win last Sunday night, May 28 at the Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio. Bart started off the evening at Midway by posting the second quickest lap in time trials. He then won his heat race from the fourth position before dominating the A-Main to record his second win at Midway in as many weekends! The driver of the UrgentCash / Imler’s Poultry / Gress Oil #75 Rocket / Cornett GTO held off challenges from Rick Aukland and Steve Shaver to register the $5,000 payday.

The night prior saw Bart invade his hometown speedway, the Muskingum County Speedway, for the annual ‘Jeff Boyd Memorial.’ The night started off shaky for the #75 team, as they were docked two valuable positions in the heat race for allegedly jumping a start at the Zanesville, Ohio oval. Bart started the 28-lap feature event from the eleventh spot and quickly had his entry pointed to the front. When the dust had settled on the event, Bart had advanced up to the second spot behind winner Rick Aukland in the $2,800 to win show.

“It has been a pretty good month for us,” calmly stated the “Bartman” on Wednesday afternoon. “These area tracks have been good to us here lately and they are hosting some $10,000 and $12,000 to win shows coming up in the next month or so. Hopefully, we have our car dialed in at those places and we can be a strong contender when those shows roll around. I have to thank my family, crew, and all of my sponsors for supporting the team all year long!”

Bart and the BHR team will travel to one of their favorite venues this coming Saturday night, June 3. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will invade the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky, as a $10,000 top prize is up for grabs in the annual ‘Ralph Latham Memorial.’ The cameras of the SPEED Channel will be on hand to tape all of the exciting action from Jerry and Mona King’s 1/2-mile, high-banked oval this Saturday night. The show will be broadcast on a date and time to be announced later by series officials. Bart was able to capture the win in the historic event back in 1998.
