BAS Racing Network Adding Pre-Race show to DTWC

DC Bash and crew will once again broadcast the DTWC for the third straight year. New for 2008 will be “The Buckeye Speedzone” a Pre-Race show to be aired Saturday Oct. 18th from 12 noon to 2pm on WFRO/Eagle 99.1 and WQIO/Eagle 93.7 FM.
Race fans in the Ohio and surrounding region who may not be able to attend the 28th Annual Dirt Track World Championship presented by GottaRace.com October 16-18 will be able to tune in to the high intensity racing action of the prestigious crown jewel event being promoted by Carl Short at Jim Nier’s KC Raceway near Waverly, OH. The winner of the DTWC will collect $50,000. For the third straight year the BAS Racing Network will be on hand providing a live broadcast.

The live broadcast will air on Saturday evening beginning at
8:00 PM EST
with the BAS Racing Network covering the entire Saturday evening program beginning with the heat races and through the 28th Annual Dirt Track World Championship presented by GottaRace.com main event.

“It’s a thrill to partner for the third year in a row with Carl Short and the 2008 Dirt Track World Championship,” stated producer and show host DC Bash of the BAS Racing Network. “They have been a joy to work with in every capacity. And my thanks to the great radio stations who have opened their airwaves to one of the finest forms of racing there is. This form of racing deserves to be exposed to all race fans.”

Joining DC Bash on the microphones will be Chuck Griffith and Chris Tilley.
Griffith is a long time veteran announcer and radio host and has worked as the track announcer at race tracks like Eldora Speedway and Wayne County Speedway in addition to television work. Tilley works for the Independent Racing Series as public relations director and owns C/T Marketing.


The DTWC broadcast will be carried on four radio stations in Ohio including WFRO/Eagle 99.1; WQIO/Eagle 93.7 FM; WYBZ/Oldies 107.3 FM and WPAY/Power County 104.1 FM


Time is running out!
Act now before the Oct.1st deadline for big savings on ticket prices. By purchasing your tickets in advance you can save $10 off. Advance pricing will be $40 for adult and you can upgrade that to a reserved seat for just $5 more. Advanced pit passes will be $50 and if you want to add a reserved seat to that just add $5. So take advantage of the savings and make your plans to attend the second most prestigious event in Dirt Late Model Racing! Remember after Oct 1st the prices will be $50 for adult general admission, $15 children general admission ages 6-11 with children under age six admitted free for general admission. Three-day pit passes will be $60.

The special reserved seating for the 28th Annual Dirt Track World Championship presented by
gottarace.com will be the top five rows of all spectator grandstands. A seating chart is available on the KC Raceway website www.kc-raceway.com and race fans may pick their preferred seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

The 28th Annual Dirt Track World Championship presented by
gottarace.com kicks off on Thursday evening October 16th with Qualifying, heat races and consolation races to set the starting grid for the Modifieds. Late Model qualifying and heat races will be held on Friday evening October 17th with the consolation races, The Jim Dunn Memorial non-qualifiers race, The Modified 30 Lap Feature and the 100-lap Dirt Track World Championship to be held on Saturday evening October 18th. Sunday October 19th will serve as the rain date.

Race Teams can save too! Late Model entry fees will be $100 if pre-entered by
October 1st, 2008. After October 1st the driver entry fee will be $200. Modifieds will be $50 in advance and $100 after Oct 1st.
