What a choice to make for Friday night? 99 laps vs. taking my kid to a nickel race......Nice to have options...anyone doing a roll call for this Friday night? Just curious...

Killian - Go for the 99 lapper ! Look at it's history ! Look at the drivers that might be there and to top it all off we will get to see Dixon's return ! Hope to see you there and Sat at I - 55 as well .....

It is your choice, but I'd go with the better show. Which will give you your best racing entertain? There will be another nickel race at Belle Clair in a few weeks if you child is your concern.

let me see dump or family friendly hmm i think tri city just saying

lol ! Actually I go for the racing ! Just Sayin ! Why the hatred for Bell-Vegas ? We are LUCKY to have several good facilities in our area to choose from... :)

Since this Friday war started, belleville has had more late models than Tri city. The car count has gone to belleville. Take the MARS race at Granite. 20 cars for 3 grand at tri city. 27 cars at Belleville for a regular show. Belleville has great racing and the drivers are seeing that. No track is better than the other. The decision either way will result in good racing where ever they go.

It should be nice at both places!! Maybe these too tracks could both come to agreement on running different nights. I know it wont happen but it would be nice to have triple track points again.Belle Clair,I55 and then Tri city Sunday.

I will say this I have raced at some dumps in my 20 plus years of racing and BELLEVILLE is no dump by any means. You my not like the place and thats fine but Opinions are like azzholes everyone has one some are just bigger than others. I feel very lucky as a racer to have 2 good tracks to choose from to race at on a Friday night. Not many racers in the country can say that. If you don't like the track DON'T GO but is there really any reason to get on here and post stuff like that for any other reason other than you have nothing better to do? If I didn`t like your spouse I wouldn`t get on here and post it, I would just keep it to myself. So please if people don`t like a track just keep it to yourself as one day we might be on here saying "Remember the good old days when we had a choice of what track to race at." Now we have to drive 3 hours to just get to a race track. JMO

The show on the track is what matters, but these newer fans want to feel like they are at a NAPCAR race instead of a dirt track. I guess I'm too old school to understand....I want to see "BALLS TO THE WALL RACING" when I go to the track,I don't care which one!!!!!!!:)

Rodney said it right. Go where you want to go but remember it doesn't help the sport if people continue to bad mouth dirt racetracks.

Godfrey was a Friday night track. Brownstown races on Friday. We've had multiple tracks racing Friday and Saturday nights for decades.

Ask a drag racer about there choices now and how far they have to drive to get to a darg strip. They're really bummin'.

Enjoy racing!

Back in the day

Friday Tracks-Godfrey,White City,Belleville and B-Town. Saturday Tracks-Highland,I-55, Mt. Vernon and Macon. Sunday Tracks-St.Charles,Haubstadt,Montgomery Co. I'm prolly forgetting some. This is why the STL area produced so many UMP National Champs,a guy could get race for points 3 nights a week.

Well said Mike and Randy. If your a true race fan then you will just appreciate the fact that there are still tracks open and cars to watch. I really dont know why I keep reading these posts, typically most of these posts start out ok, then they become full of bashing, complaining and so on...I hope EVERYONE, regardless of where they decide to spend there weekends has a great time with great racing.

I didn't start the thread for people to trash tracks. I am excited there are two exciting options for a Friday night. I am a true Saturday night race guy, but I have a large family that races on Saturday night. I still haven't decided which one to pick yet, but I am going to have a great time at either one......as will any true racing fan...

Belleville has been a Friday night track since 1949 . Thats 62 years . Try city has been A Friday night track for about 6 years . Now who do you think should be moving if it came down to that ? Tri city moved from Sundays to Fridays nights and Belleville still gets more Late Models and pays them $200 less to win the feature and even on many nights when Tri city has their big late Model specials . Just my take on this

I like Belleville and the show is usually pretty good.

But lets be honest, although they have a higher late model count on most nights, the biggest amount of those cars not only wouldn't be competitive on a bigger track, but would have trouble even staying in one piece at the higher speeds of the bigger tracks.

Many of them don't want to blow their motor up on that wide track . Don't think you even need brakes their do ya .
