Too damn hot

Too damn hot and curfew does not help to start later. Too bad for don hoener think he got in at the wrong time. Even the tracks running i know has been brutal on the drivers.

As of right now it's calling for a high of 97 with clear sky's, after running Once in over a month, I hope I can remember how to drive that car. Hopefully this Friday will be better and bring the cars and fans to the track.

Me too! I am so ready to see some side by side, bumper to bumper, pedal to the metal, stock car racing at the best track ever. Let's go racing!!!!!!!!!!

What is the order of racing this weekend? And don't nobody slam me and say its gonna be hot. As the fair week is the following week, I'm sure the track is gonna take a stab at it. Drivers have to get prepared for the 100 lapper the following week. So all you fans that have been so anxiously waiting, start calling some kin folk, friends and even that rude neighbor next door and let em know. We need to support our local tracks for the remainder of the year, so that these tracks can start getting thier financing together for next year. Three more days and the baddest track in Illinois will be having some side by side, bumper to bumper, pedal to the metal stock car racing. Everybody be safe, bring towells, keep em wet and wrap around your necks, wave em in circles for that fan next to you who didn't read this post and bring thier own towell. I've envited two friends, but if you all at least bring one and show don the respect we have for his great job of promoting, it will help keep us running the rest of the year, so yes, let's go racing!!!

They are calling for mid to upper 90"s on friday. It was cooler than that last week when they cancelled. If the real reason they cancelled last week was because it was too hot,I really dont think you will see them race this week.jmo...

They cancelled two week ago with a high of 86 degrees so I dont think you will be seeing any racing this Friday with the temp in the upper 90"s .

just checked the weather they upped it to 100... I really hope they get it in... I hate to see the car only get raced one time this year :( UghhhH!

Just be prepared to race, if everyone gets on here and lets don know that your gonna bring one friend and a wet towel he will be more and likely to race. Bring a TOWEL. Let him know you have a towel. This will let him know your all thinking safety first.

I got all kinds of towels
Good deal dirt hound, bring an extra, in case someone doesn't read this post. I'll bring an extra. It's the friday before the fair race, and I'm sure even with the weather, well pretty sure, we're gonna race. No way the drivers can come off a three week layoff and then jump in a car and race a hundred laps. So you drivers star loading them up, fans pack you a towel and bring a friend, for some side by side, bumper to bumper, pedal to the medal stock car racing. And remember, kids do get in free, yes, let's go racing!!! Oh, and bring a towel it might be HOT!!! But not as hot as the actions gonna be out on the best race track around.

It would be nice if don would allow us to bring a small cooler of ice, just to keep a towel wet!

Just a fan's prospective to Don on the heat. I would much rather be at BC when it's hot than TRI
on Fridays & it's twice the distance for me to BC. The roof is a big plus. I get there early to have something to eat before dirt flys & that direct sun @ TRI before it goes down is tough, the overhang's shade atleast to me makes it feel cooler. When it's cold, it also feels warmer at BC then at TRI. The roof & the back of the stands are a big plus in my view.

yea that roof takes alot of the heat. think on the back stretch it stays hot a little longer, but if your high up its only about fifteen minutes long direct contact from the sun. the higher the better. and yea i drive out my way myself to get there. fiteen minutes to on and 50 minutes to the one i frequent. it is a awesome racetrack. but im sure its gotta be a go this friday with the fair next week. sux, he could have a small loss, this week, but thinking he can recoop during fair week. so all you good fans wanna see some awesome racing, get out invite that rude nieghbor, or even bring your wife and kids, as kids do get in free at Belle Claire speedway. and please everyone bring a towel, so you can keep em cool if it is a lil warm. no spell chk, so good luck

Well hopefully don sees this and decides he's got the backing of fans and drivers to run it, one track has already cancelled due to the forecast, let's hope Belleville doesn't decide to do this too.

17 posts with 6 by the same person hardly constitutes backing from fans and drivers. good luck BCS on your decision.

I highly doubt belleville will be running yet again this weekend. Brownstown and Doe run have already cancelled bc of the high temps. We will catch a break sooner or later but till then enjoy some a/c bc the temps outside ****!

Ksdk says 101 on friday with a chance for rain. It's gonna be a hot one again. ****s, not racing, but don knows he will lose money cause most fans wont' show up and risk their health -- come on cooler weather.
