Belle claire & pevely woo events

Just curious why there were less late models at Pevely than there were at Belle Claire. I would have thought that it would be the other way around.

Also - I didn't see many of the locals make the feature. Just wondering why some of them didn't make the feature since they run so well on other nights.[/SIZE]

Babb, weaver, feger, shirley and a few others went to fairbury to a run double features one being a makeup race from a rain out, I would of loved to see them race I-55 but eh it was still good racing with out them

All you had to do was listen at the time trials as to how fast the WOO guys were. At BC all but Kreke where in middle to end of times. & in the heats started in mid to back, so had tough way to get in. & then they had to take chances like the 6k did in hitting the wall & bending a wheel. 27 cars running the feature at BC was an amazing site though & a testament to how good of drivers they where, as not many wrecks.

i think they mean locals that race there week in and week out if i had to guess, not just illinois guys cause i wouldnt consider them local racers either

No, I agree about the locals being "local" what I should of said for example 51. 4-Brian Dawson/Mascoutah, IL 13.221 Chili Dog has not run this car much at all after several years out of a car was only 2.1 sec behind the new track record. That is something to be proud of in my opinion.

so at that pace in 50 laps he wouldve only been 8 laps down had he raced his way in. the only thing i didnt like about the weekend was the provisionals at i-55, just because jill goerge (danica patrick wanna be) takes a spot in feature away from someone else who is capable of passing somebody. i think that stunk. just because you attend so many shows doesnt mean you earned your way in. if you are not in the top 10 in points you shouldnt be eligible. what does everyone else think about this?

my thoughts, no provisionals, EVER

I do see your point. For a series that covers so much ground to not have them how many racers would run the tour without the safety net in place. With the economy the way it is I understand why they use it.
