BELLE CLAIRE SNUBS PRO 4'S

As a fan I'd rather tracks stick with four classes. I love racing, but some of the programs are getting too long. Three and a half hours is perfect. You can't do that with five or six classes.

Belle Clair Speedway to Reopen in 2015. Posted on this site on 12/24/2014.

MILLSTADT, IL - Belle Clair Speedway will reopen in 2015 after reaching a multi-year agreement with Performance Open Wheel Racing, Inc. (“POWRi”). Because Belle Clair Promotions, LLC elected to terminate their partnership with Belle Clair Speedway, POWRi will take over the promotion of the Belleville, IL track starting in 2015. POWRi will sanction the open wheel divisions while Allied will continue to sanction the stock car divisions.

“We are thrilled to have reached an agreement with POWRi to keep the tradition of incredible racing alive at Belle Clair Speedway,” Belle Clair Speedway’s Tom Vail said. “The track has such a rich racing history. Fans can expect events in 2015 that will showcase the glory of Little Belleville.”

While the schedule has not yet been finalized, fans can expect to see events on days of the weekend other than Belle Clair Speedway’s traditional Friday nights. POWRi and Allied have been working together to create a schedule that will excite both fans and racers. Midgets, micros, late models, modifides, b-mods, and pure stocks will all be scheduled to run at some point throughout the season in order to satisfy both open wheel and stock car enthusiasts. The schedule will be released in January 2015.

“Allied is looking forward to doing things differently with POWRi in 2015,” Allied’s Mike McGinnity stated. “We have the opportunity to do a lot of different and exciting things next year.”

POWRi’s Kenny Brown echoed McGinnity’s remarks. “POWRi is grateful for the opportunity to work with both Belle Clair Speedway and Allied to ensure that the integrity of this race track is preserved,” Brown said. “Our goal, first and foremost, was to keep the track open. Now that we have achieved that goal, we are working on bigger and better things for a track and fans that deserve the best.”
