Mike Mineman from St Clair Bowl is working on the shirts for the 100 lapper. (These are thrown into the stands at intermission.) Korte was last years winner and will be featured on the front. The back will carry past 100 lapper winners. We would like to put more names than in the past. Help us with the years and winners from past years.

Let's make it worth your while. Whoever gives the most info gets a free shirt before the race that night. Thanks for your help. AK

yeah voight won it in 2004. I think I remember Frankie Martin winning it in 1993 or 1994. I think Dean Hoffman won it one year because he wanted the Dale Earnhardt bowling ball. Todd Regh might have won it too, ask moon.

Frankie Martin won it in '02.

Marc McClintock, Durbin, and Hammerle have also won it.

I think Dennis Sellers has also won one in his day.

I remember Gansmann winning sometime in the mid-90's. Lapped all but 2nd place I believe, which was Paule.

Back in the early and mid 1980's when both Belleclair and St. Charles both ran 100 lappers , Bo Smith won a few and I think that Terry Hall and Dixon did too. All of those cars at that time were the Smith Super Fly Chassis, pretty advanced cars for this area in those days. It seems that I also saw Carl Springer in a red Corvair win one in the late 1960's or early 1970's w/ a rt. axle hanging about a foot out at the end of the race, but i was pretty young and may have been a mid season race.

100 lapper history

1st post,bear w/me:)

Back in the early, mid 80's when both Belleclair and St. Charles both ran 100 lappers Bo Smith won a few, seems like Terry Hall and Dixon did too. All of those cars were the Smith Super Fly chassis, pretty advanced cars for this area for that time. If I remember correctly, when I was about 10 or so, I think I saw Carl Springer in the red Cedarleaf Photoghaphy Corvair win one w/the rt. rear axle hanging out about a ft. at the end of the race, but that may have a mid season race.

How can a person get one of these shirts. I can't make it to Bellville for the 100 laper. Will any of the other track have the shirts.

This is an event shirt that has been made just for this event. No, it should not be available at any other track. There are limited shirts made just for this event and they are normally just thrown out at intermission. Sorry but that has been the way it has been handled.

For those of you inputting winners, it does no good if the years are not available so they can be added to those already know. The years 2001 - 2005 are already known so they are looking for years prior to this.

Well.........showing my age here, but I know Ed Dixon won in the middle 80's, when he was driving the White Modified for B-Auto, I believe they named the car "GIZMO", I remember the write-up in the paper about it.

I also know Mike Hammerle won one also in the same time period, in one of the Gremlins he built. I have followed Hammerle for 20 years, but can't remember if he got one of the 100 lappers in the big Center-steer car. Also, a couple years prior to these guys winning, A man with LOTS of dark, curly hair, driving a red Chevette modified named Danny Moser won a 100 lap feature at Belleville also. OH man, those were the days..........:) Anyway, hope this helps, See ya' all Friday night!!!

Norm!

Al, We are still looking for a winner.

Come on folks, dig back into those memory banks. The past winners of the 100 lap fair race since St. Clair Bowl started sponsoring the event are as follows: 2001- Don Klein, 2002- Frankie Martin, 2003- Dean Hoffman, 2004- Mark Voight, 2005- Randy Korte. At some point in the 80's I believe the 100 lap fair race evolved and Auffenburg Ford was the sponsor.Prior to that in the 60's and 70's there were 100 lap and 75 lap races ran when Mid Season and Season championship nights were held. This was the standard at all the Allied tracks, belleville, St. Chuck, Lake Hill. I have seen Don KLein win many of these throughout the years. I saw Carl Springer win one in the early 70's ,as someone mentioned earlier in the red Corvair with a 500 some odd c.i.d. chevy.Around 1975 ,Klein was leading with around 5 laps left and an axle broke giving way to Belleville's Jim Thompson who lapped the entire field.I recall this like yesteday because my old buddy Ray Eby finished 2nd in a blue 1971 Vega.I also remember in the 80's,many times in the 100 lap fair races Ed Dixon had the worst luck, always having a great car but rarely even finishing. Anyone with any stories to share please post, thanks, Mike Mineman.

I got one - Jim Durbin 1994

Someone ask Don Klein and Ed Dixon for some help here also. I bet they know at least some of these years. (They probably have trophies with the year on them! LOL) Would like to go as far back as possible.

Frankie in the 90's???

I think Frankie Martin won it back in the 90's. Maybe 93 or 94? I know Tim Ratajczyk was 2nd. It was either the fair race or Season Championship. The gave the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place guys trophies. I may be wrong, I was around 12 at the time! :)
