My commentary about the "Bounty on Dennis Ponder"....it flat out stinks to put a bounty on any racer. Some other racers thinks this gives them the opportunity to "take them out" or drive them differently when they normally wouldn't do that. This isn't the "Old West" where it's bring 'em in dead or alive! Dennis doesn't win by beating up on other racers...he gets to the front because he has skill at racing, sees opportunities and makes the very best of them. I thought the deal with the 48 of Dockins was handled wrong. 48 should have gone to the rear with the 7 of Ponder. If the 48 was so innocent, then why did Ponder push him up the track? This is my opinion, and Donnie Hoener can just disagree with me all he wants.

That is the real Ponder.
He gets mad when he cant get by.
He was banging on 48 for 2 laps but couldnt pass him up high.
Other cars worked to get by him successfully
He tried to overdrive his ability on turn 3 and spun while trying to pass.
48 hit him in the side.
48 was holding his line.
Ponder decided it was a good idea to ram 48 on the back straight while on a yellow with 48 completely stopped.
I guess maybe he didnt see 48 stopped , with all the tears in his eyes from being such a CRYBABY
This isnt the 1st time he has done this kind of garbage, I really wouldnt expect any less from him.
A real man says hes sorry for a deed that wasnt intentional or was an accident and it is observed in the pits often.
Ponder is not a man hes a boy wrapped in a steel cage

a real man would say that to his face not run his mouth on a message board

Well said. I think the bounty was stupid just another great idea by ***** heads called allied. Cause you was tired of ponder winning every week fairly thought you would have to give people a reason to run him unfairly. Maybe so he would so he could get kicked out or fined some more. Way to go good call.

The bounty was not A.A.R.A's idea! It came from one of Dennis's best supporter's. he thought it would be great for the purestocks to make a little more money!
The bounty also had nothing to do with the action from friday night! There was great three wide racing, some purely racing contact and a lost temper! Just a normal night of racing!!!!

I like the bounty idea adds excitment to the racing.DP is a very smooth driver if any of u really sat down talked to him he watchs everyone real close and he can tell u when the can get faster.the guy is just so smooth behind the wheel and in these purestocks u have to b.Wahoo Jones the next 1 to get a bounty on his head. Then debbie will love the idea if her son won that lol. Thanks to Al Kreke for the bounty money that man does so much for the local racing.hes a good friend to dirt racing

I think the bounty is a great idea. It adds a little more excitement to an already exciting class of racing. I don't think that most of the drivers would try to tear somebodies car up for an extra fifty and anybody that would, probably doesn't have a shot at winning the feature anyway.

Like the bounty or not is up to everyone's opinion. But, with that said, I don't think this incident had anything to do with the bounty. What position were they battling for? I was 5th and it was behind me, and there wasn't that many laps left. So it didn't look like it either was gonna win(which you had to do to collect). I just don't see how a bounty had any effect on a battle for 6th or 7th with a few laps left. jmo

Dennis is an awesome driver and I have never had a problem with how he has driven against me. It just wasn't his night. When you start back as far as he did friday, it gets hairy back there with everyone trying to go forward.

Like I said, like the bounty or not, I just don't see how it could have had anything to do with this incident.

I wish the heck I could win enough to have a bounty put on me.:D

the two things that are ridiculous are what ponder did and no fine for it.a late model driver was fined for hitting a car two weeks ago but don hoener must be scared of ponder.then a highland car shows up and all of the sudden allied wants to pull his head after the races, when was the last time allied pulled a head off a pure stock?they could have p&g`ed him or checked his cam but since he is a highland car he must have a big motor.

Who said there isn't a fine and probation bond applied here! He did the same thing Schulte did and anyone else who thinks they need to do this will recieve the same!
Once again its always nice when someone posts and makes comments about things they know nothing about!

Conway..he refused tech. You think that might have been a clue?
CLUE #(1) The 55v's dad gave him the night off from farm work so he decided to go to B-ville on a whim. Now he's suposed to pull his motor apart in the dirty pits? for a 9th or 10th place car? for a $50 check? Get up at 6am Sat to Milk, go out int the field, when you don't know when you're gonna be done? If he's lucky by 4:30. THEN put his car back together for a sat night a highland , Where he is running for points.
He did the right thing.
If you don't know the circumstances of a man don't comment on his actions.

All they were doing was p and g and checking cams. Whomever told you he was asked to pull a head was wrong. A valve cover and a rocker arm was what needed pulled. That wouldn't take very long to reassemble.

he told me

Hey big man i know Brad well and he told me they wanted to pull heads so shut up man. And if he does have a big motor why did he get beat so bad and they dont tear down ponder or dietsel motors ever. Like koch sai he did the rite thing, hes a young hard workin farmer with priorities, and the 50 bucks goes nowhere on a headgasket kit or even taking a chance of warping heads or cracking them doing stupid crap like that. All on a 7th place finish. Give me a break, I could see if he won but for seventh come on.
