Anyone go to benton last night? Mod and sprint winner?Mod and sprint car count?

These are appox numbers but fairly close
14 sprints
20 modifieds
10 sportsman
12 pure street (or what ever they call them)
6 mod lights
3 crusers

Better show then night one. They are getting better but still have track issues. I wasn't there night 2. The track was tacky and a little rough and still not very racey. Sprints were pretty much one lane after first lap.

Great show fri nite

Dirt in beer, I am not sure what else you want but Fri nite at ATP was as good as any show I have seen anywhere.

I hate street stocks but they were running three wide in the heats and the dash.

The sportsman heats were great also.

The track held up good for the amount of rain they had.

Yeah Joey checked out on the sprints but it was fun watching Jason Evans hold off the 410's with his 360 and Tiffany was driving the heck out of her car.

I think it was a great show and I would bet 90% of people there would agree.

My Guys ta in MOD's: 02 Robert Powers / 80M McGhee / 85 G Geisler ........ARE NOT GOING BACK TILL THEY FIX THE DANG TRACK.

WE TORE UP WAY TO MUCH STUFF FRIDAY NITE TO MESS WITH GOING BACK

Sprint race was good *ONE LANE / Joey checked out .........

YOU know its bad when a pure street even breaks a whole rear end out and axles too. Grrrrrrrrrr...

I didn't say it was a bad show and they are trying but to say it was as good of a show as any around is a stretch. I've made about 10 shows scattered between Malden,West Memphis, Farmington, Benton, Pevely and Paducah so for this spring. I'd rate the two Benton shows right at the bottom along with the dust bowl USCS race at Malden. All the other shows I'd rate as very excellant shows. Compare Benton's show Friday and Farmington's show on Saturday and they weren't even close. Benton was a sleeper and Framington was an on the edge of the seat show all night.

I've been to 2 of the 3 shows at Benton. Looking at the stands Friday I'd say I've supported them as much as anyone. I'll continue to go some but to date I am not convinced that the track can yield good racing.

you cant fix a track when there is 8inches of rain. (other race nights at benton were smooth) anybody else would been rained out. it was your choice to race. mother nature cant be controled. hey "dirt in the beer" what made farmington so good only 10cars finished the sprint feature. nobody in stands because threat of rain. race before was good.

Just far more 2 and sometimes 3 wide racing at Farmington. Maybe it's a personal preferance. Maybe it's the size of the track. It's pretty hard for the cars to get strung out at Farmington. We'll see. I don't buy the rain story keeping people away. It's a 45 min drive for me and I went because I keep trying to convince myself that I'll see a good show. If Benton starts drawing a big crowd then I'll say I was wrong.

Some of their modified and pure street car count came from Malden, which was rained out. A few of those cars likely won't be at ATPR every week.
