Batesville, Arkansas (4/22/09) – Billy Moyer Jr. continued his strong start to the 2009 season over the weekend in a pair of O’Reilly MSRA/O’Reilly MARS Super Late Model Challenge events.

Billy entered the $2,000 to win/40 lap event that was sanctioned by the O'Reilly MSRA and O'Reilly MARS Super Late Model tour on Friday night at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas. After racing his way from his fourth starting position to a third place finish in his heat race, he earned the 12th starting spot for the main event. Passing would be difficult in the main event, and he would only be able to manage a 9th place finish.

On Saturday night Jr. Motorsports turned in another solid performance at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri as the O'Reilly MSRA and O'Reilly MARS Super Late Model tours went head-to-head for the second straight night. With 31 Super Late Models on hand, Billy started 6th in his heat race and rocketed his way to the heat race win. Via passing points, Moyer Jr. earned the JFR Graphics Pole Position for the feature event. He would be a tick off on the setup of his entry for the 40 lap event, and would his way to a 5th place finish in the 40 lap event against a talent-laden field.

On Sunday night, the team was slated to compete at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri, but Mother Nature proved to be the victor.

Billy continues to be the point’s leader in the O’Reilly MSRA standings over Ray Moore and Kyle Beard. Moyer Jr. will take advantage of this weekend’s open schedule from the tour to travel to Alabama and Tennessee for a pair of Southern Regional Racing Series events.

The weekend will get underway on Friday, April 24th, at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama with a $3,000 to win/$300 to start event. The program will consist of time trials, heat races, b-mains, and a 40 lap feature. Billy already has a second place finish at North Alabama Speedway in 2009, and will be looking to use his past success at the racy, ¼ mile to pick up the win. On Saturday, April 25th, Billy will compete at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee for the first time ever.
