(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer, of Batesville, Arkansas, celebrated in victory lane for the seventh time in 2017 and for the 823rd time in his illustrious career on Saturday evening, August 26 aboard a brand-new Moyer Victory Race Car at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri! Billy swept the MARS Dirt Car Series West division program, as he earned Fast Time honors in qualifying and won his heat race as well. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then led all but two circuits in the 40-lapper to score the $5,000 windfall ahead of Brian Shirley, Gordy Gundaker, Tony Jackson, Jr., and Mason Oberkramer!
A day earlier, the #21 team was in the pit area at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois for a similar $5,000 to win MARS Dirt Car Series West showdown. Billy ran second in heat race action and later started the 40-lap feature from the inside of the third row. Billy then vaulted up to second in the A-Main to record an impressive runner-up showing behind only victor Bobby Pierce. On Sunday evening, the dirt-slinging action will turn to the hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for the annual running of the 'Baltes Classic.' The American Late Model Series (ALMS) will preside over the $3,000 to win battle, which will serve as the final tune-up at the "Big E" for the upcoming 'World 100.'
