(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer picked up his second Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature win of 2006 on Wednesday, October 11, as the Batesville, Arkansas native reached victory lane at the state-of-the-art Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina! "Mr.
Smooth" ran third in his heat race and redrew a number three for the A-Main, which meant that his famed #21 would roll off from the inside of the second row for the 'Jani-King Southern Showdown.' Billy was able take the point on lap twenty and led the final thirty circuits to claim the $10,000 payday ahead of teammate Shannon Babb, Earl Pearson, Jr., Mike Balzano, and Rick Eckert.

Billy and his #21 team then headed south over the weekend to the Sunshine State of Florida for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series finale at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. Billy timed in fifth fastest in qualifying and later took the win in his heat race. On Saturday, he also won the dash to earn the pole position for the $20,000 to win 'Gator 100.'
In the course of the 100-lap feature event, "Mr. Smooth" slipped back through the field before pitting on lap 42 to change shocks. Billy returned back to the speedway to complete 99 laps and salvaged a fifteenth place performance.

After thirty grueling events, Billy finished fourth in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series national point standings. He registered two victories, twelve Top Five finishes, and twenty-three Top Ten runs in the thirty series events held in 2006. Billy picked up $43,000 at the series Awards Banquet on Sunday evening, October 15 for his fourth place effort in the points.

"We had a good run at Charlotte last Wednesday," stated Moyer from his Batesville, Arkansas shop on Tuesday. "The redraw really helped us and I was able to start up front, which was a big key to winning. The car performed well and we were able to beat a pretty stout field of cars. Then at Volusia, everything went well except for the race that paid the money. I left the car close to the same for the feature instead of setting up like we were last year in the fall. The track changed a whole lot before the feature and we should have changed the car around."

The Billy Moyer Racing team will travel to the state of Mississippi this weekend for the annual 'Cotton Pickin' 100.' The Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi will play host to the $15,000 to win show. Qualifying and heat race action will take place this Friday, October 20, while the consolation races and the 100-lap, unsanctioned feature event are slated for Saturday evening. Billy will take advantage of a rare opportunity to race with his son, Billy, Jr., who will also be present at Magnolia this weekend.
