Bluegrass Speedway Open Practice Day This Saturday, April 16

Bardstown, KY-April 10- Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell will have an open practice this Saturday, April 16, at the ½ mile Nelson County dirt oval located just outside of beautiful and historic Bardstown, KY.

The April 16 practice day will be open to all four divisions that race at Bluegrass Speedway and will see gates open at 3:00 p.m. for the practice day. Official practice laps will begin around 5:30 p.m. that afternoon and will conclude later on in the evening, but will not go later than 11:00 p.m. Spectators are invited to come out for the practice day if they would like to, as there will be free admission in the main grandstand area to all, regardless of age. Pit passes for the open practice will be $15 and drivers will need to take time to fill out their driver information cards for the 2005 season on that day as well.

Bluegrass Speedway will open its 2005 season on Saturday night, April 23, with a regular show for all four weekly divisions. The Late Model division will race for $1,000 to win, Modifieds for $500 to win, Sportsman for $200, and Street Stocks for $100 to win.

On April 30, the O'Reilly Auto Parts NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will visit Bluegrass Speedway for the 8th Annual Spring Sizzler, paying $3,000 to win for Late Models, along with a regular show for Modifieds and Sportsman, with Street Stocks having the night off.

Bluegrass Speedway is located at exit 21 of the Martha Layne Collins (Bluegrass) Parkway and races from mid-April through the end of September. The track is owned by Charles Hamilton and promoted by David and Anita Ferrell. Bluegrass Speedway is also a member of the Contingency Connection once again in 2005.
