Bobby Hartslief on UMP

Thats great for racers w/ 4 bar cars and people that blow there tires off but what about the rest of the drivers that run other setups and driving stiles ? Some of them don't hurt 20's in a feature. 20-40 is a good way to go it gives some flexiblity.

Put everyone on a hard tire, and the extra horsepower is taken out of the equation. Sure, some of them don't hurt 20's in a feature, but many do.

Twenties and forties is alot better than 10,20,30, or 40. But I think 40's only would be even better, look at the numer of wheels it would cut down on for a team to need to carry. Lets just be glad that the guys who sold UMP gave us the rules changes they did last year we got two more inches of door width, this year we got two less tires, and the right two were dropped. Lets just hope the new owners do not mess with things alot after this season.

True! A hard tire rule such as the one used in IMCA, helps reduce cost in other places other than just the tire bill. Guys could save money when they have motors built. You can get by with much less.
