Madison, IL - Gateway International Raceway's Championship Drag Strip
will host Regular Points bracket racing this entire weekend as the standings
continue to tighten up.
Dan Smith (Affton, MO) still holds a commanding lead (76 points) in the Pro
E.T. class, but still trails J.R. McKague (Chamois, MO) in the Pro 1/4-mile
category. Things tightened up for McKague as his lead was trimmed to three
points by Doug Graf (Troy, MO) who won the category last weekend. In the
Pro 1/8-mile category Brian Suhre (Worden, IL.) defeated Leroy Payne
(Steelville, MO) last weekend, while Jim Bouckaert (Arnold, MO) continued
to set the pace in the Street E.T. bracket thanks to a runner-up finish last
weekend. Jason Lynch still is atop the Pro Bike category with a 33-point lead,
while Don Klarer (St. Charles, MO) extended his lead to 44 points over
Charles Willis in the Street Bike category. Kevin Goss (High School) and
Michael Lauterbach (Jr. Dragster) continue to set the pace in their categories.
