(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) The Brady Smith Racing team announced today that
they will follow the NARA Late Model Dirt Series in 2006 and compete for the
National Championship and Rookie of the Year titles. The Solon Springs,
Wisconsin-based team currently finds themselves thirteenth in the series
point standings following the three point races at the East Bay (FL) Raceway
Park in early February. The national Dirt Late Model series has a current
schedule that features thirty-five events at twenty-four different
facilities in seventeen states. You can learn more about the series by
visiting their official home on the web, which is located at
www.lucasdirt.com.

Brady has been waiting since Florida for official confirmation that he would
be eligible for the Rookie of the Year chase. The driver of the AMSOIL #2
MasterSbilt from Mars / Pro Power Monte Carlo finished third in the rookie
race last year, while only competing in 55% of the series events. According
to the NARA Late Model Dirt Series rulebook, one of the criteria to be
eligible for Rookie of the Year status is that a driver not finish in the
top two in rookie points with the series. Brady passed that test and
several other criteria and is thus eligible for a serious Rookie of the Year
title run in 2006.

“I was happy to hear this week that I was finally deemed eligible to run for
Rookie of the Year with the NARA Series in 2006,” stated Brady today via
telephone. “We really didn’t run for it last year, as we just ran 55% of
their races last season. It just happened that they only had two serious
contenders and we ran enough races with them to finish third. I am looking
forward to chasing the series on a full-time basis this year and
representing AMSOIL and all of my other sponsors in first class fashion.
The NARA Series has a good television package and a great group of drivers
assembled for this year. Hopefully, we can be competitive all year long and
be a threat for both the Championship and Rookie of the Year honors.”

The driver known as “The Deuce” is scheduled to hit the dirt again March 25
at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Brady will be using the
$2,000 to win, Sunoco American Late Model Series (ALMS) event as a warm-up
to the ‘Dream 100’ and ‘World 100’ held at Eldora later in the year. The
next NARA Late Model Dirt Series event will be held on Saturday, April 1 at
the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. A $10,000 payday
is on the line at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval in the annual running of
the ‘Indiana Icebreaker.’ More information on these two events will be
available in future press releases.
