(MUSCATINE, IOWA) Brian Birkhofer found victory lane for the second
straight weekend when he won the $5,000 PolyDome WDRL Super Series event at
West Liberty (IA) Raceway on Saturday night. Brian was fast all evening, as
he also captured his heat race and finished third in the dash that set the
first three rows of the feature event. It was Brian's second win of the
young season and the first in front of his home state fans.

"We were pretty fast all night at West Liberty," said Brian from his shop on
Monday. "We may have not been the fastest car out there, but we ran smooth
all night and we were out in front at the end when it mattered. It seems
like we have been running better and more consistent lately and hopefully
that only gets better over the course of the season. It felt good to get
back into victory lane in the state of Iowa and in front of a lot of my
fans."

Brian and the team also competed the night before in another PolyDome WDRL
Super Series event, this time at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, IA. Brian
finished in the runner-up position in that $5,000 to win event after
finishing third in his heat race and winning the dash. You can read the
complete write-ups on the two PolyDome WDRL Super Series events this past
weekend at www.worldraceleague.com.

"We were pretty good at Davenport also, but not good enough to get the win,"
stated Birkhofer. "Jimmy (Mars) probably had the car to beat, but he broke.
Then (eventual winner Darren) Miller came on strong and he could run a
little higher than we could and that was the difference. It was pretty
rough out there and there was a lot of equipment torn up, but we managed to
survive and bring home a solid second place finish."

Brian Birkhofer Racing will be back in action this weekend at Florence
Speedway in Union, KY. On tap this weekend at Florence will be the Landen
Joseph Spence Memorial Weekend. On Friday night, the Battle of the
Bluegrass Dirtcar Series will present the 'Spring 50 Tune-Up.' That event
will pay $3,000 to the winner. The newly formed NARA Series will sanction
Saturday's 'Spring 50.' The $10,000 to win inaugural NARA race will be
taped by ESPN2 for national broadcast. You can learn more about the event
this weekend at Florence by visiting www.florencespeedway.com.
