(MUSCATINE, IOWA) Dirt Late Model standout Brian Birkhofer, of Muscatine, Iowa, will take advantage of an off-weekend behind the wheel of his #15b machine to participate in the 2nd Annual "Racing with the Stars." The charity go-kart event will take place on Sunday, November 1 at Velocity Indoor Karting located in Omaha, Nebraska. The "Racing with the Stars" event benefits the Holiday Horsepower Drive, which provides a racing inspired Christmas for all the patients of the Omaha Children's Hospital.
"Racing with the Stars" will be held this Sunday from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM with the feature event being scheduled for 6:00 PM. Admission for the event is a $5.00 donation at the door. Races will be $10.00 for 5 minutes on the go-karts against the star drivers. Door sales and a portion of the karting sales go directly to the Holiday Horsepower Drive. The Birkhofer Racing team will close out their version of the 2009 racing season with the huge World of Outlaws Late Model Series finale week at the Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina from November 4-7. The rain-postponed 'Topless Showdown' will take place at the Charlotte area venue on Wednesday, November 4, while the 3rd Annual 'World of Outlaws World Finals' will be held at Lowe's from November 5-7. In all, a trio of $10,000 to win feature events will headline the season-ending WOOLMS spectacular.
