(Muscatine, IA) Brian Birkhofer Racing captured their second win of the
season yesterday as they won the PolyDome Super Series event at Davenport
Speedway in Davenport, Iowa. The 40-lap, $5,000 to win event was postponed
on Saturday due to chilly weather in the area and was ran during the day on
Sunday. This was Brian's first racing action since Florida Speedweeks in
early February where he was able to rack up one win and several Top Five
finishes.

Brian started the racing action on Sunday in his heat race, where he rolled
off of the grid in the tenth starting position. By the end of the heat
race, Brian piloted his Seubert Calf Ranches / Double Eagle Sales &
Embroidery / Daufeldt Transport #15b MasterSbilt Monte Carlo to pass all ten
cars for the heat race victory. That allowed Brian and his team to start
the feature in the third starting position. By the halfway point, Brian had
taken the lead and would never look back as he picked up his second victory
of the young 2003 season.

"We had a really strong car all day today and Davenport has been pretty good
to us the past couple of years," said Birkhofer from his shop on Monday.
"We got caught up in a little lap traffic at the end and I was being a
little to conservative and that allowed Denny (Eckrich) to close up on me a
little. He had a great car also, but I am just happy we were able to reach
victory lane."

Birkhofer Racing's next scheduled event is this weekend, April 4-5, at
Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the James King Memorial.
This 64-lap event will pay $11,000 to the winner at the racy Mississippi
speedplant. For more information on the unsanctioned James King Memorial
