CHATHAM, IL (January 21, 2006) – The #3s team of Brian Shirley is proud to welcome nine new sponsors for their 2006 campaign. The Illinois-based dirt late model team and their 24-year-old driver impressed many with a dynamic 2005 season that included a fourth place championship finish in their first ever attempt at the grueling U.M.P. Summernationals tour and a $10,000 visit to victory lane at the series’ finale. A handful of businesses including Sunoco Race Fuels, Weld Wheel, Taco Carburetors, Performance Rod & Custom, Sweet Manufacturing and Mason Starters partnered with Shirley midway through last season and the trend continues as the talented young driver keeps turning heads.

Brian Shirley Motorsports would like to thank all returning sponsors and partners for their continued support and welcome the most recent additions to our team. Headlining the new sponsors includes a prominent name in dirt motorsports and a premier Iowa-based business, J&J Steel. When asked about the sponsor that now graces the quarters of all #3s entries Shirley commented, “I am really honored to have Johnny Johnson and J&J Steel on board. His contributions to my team and this entire sport have made many things possible. I’m looking forward to returning to his track (34 Raceway), racing with him throughout the season and representing his business in the best way I know how – winning races.”

In addition to J&J Steel, premier race outfitter ApexPerformance.net and new associate sponsorships from Design 500, GottaRace.com, Hooker Harness, Ringer’s Gloves, ARP Bodies and Petersen Aluminum will help propel the #3s JAYCO Construction/Petroff Towing/J&J Steel/CJ Rayburn Race Cars team to victory lane. The team will also hit the track with a new look thanks to a custom vinyl wrap from Panther Motorsports Design.

The #3s team will kick off their 2006 racing season at East Bay Raceway in Gibsonton, FL, for the three day Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series finale starting on February 9, 2006. The team will then venture to Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL, for the conclusion of Speedweeks with United Midwestern Promoters and the World of Outlaws’ Late Model Series.
