Bring the pro 4's to BENTON MO Sept. 28th!

Auto Tire and Parts race park in Benton, MO will be running Hornet/Pro 4 class on Friday Sept 28th. We need at least 8 cars to make a show. This will be a preview for our local fans of the Hornet class coming to Benton permanently next season. We are going to be running very similar to the I55 rule book next season. We may even be UMP sanctioned, depending on several factors. Email me with any questions and I will get right to you. We will be running for TROPHIES. I dont have time to get anything sponsored. I am responsible for trying to organize this so work with me here :) Next season I am going to try to get several nights sponsored so you guys can run for a little cash. Mark it on your calendar and tell all your friends and lets make this a great first show.

Is there anyway you could be UMP Sanctioned for the 28th!! I'll probably be there anyways but that's the last weekend for UMP points. But I know I can bring more than 8. Me and Jason Crump will start rounding up the boys and girl(Star racer).

I spoke with the track promotor, and he said he would call Mon. about getting this race UMP sanctioned. But its probably not going to happen. He said its probably too late in the season to get it done.

Someone asked about the size of the track, it is a 3/8 around the bottom. The corners are not as wide as Pevely and there is less banking. Benton usually needs a lower gear than Pevely.

Somebody posted earlier about not having any gas there & said it was $7 a gallon. There will be fuel there, as for the price, I am not sure but I will find out. We are excited about having the pro 4's at our track. I expect this class to be big in the 08 season. Keep spreading the word and lets have a good show.

The way we usually do it is the classes draw a pill for their starting position. And the mains are determined by the heat finishes. If there are multiple heat races (ie at least two), there is a trophy dash. If you need any info, on places to stay, eat, etc, dont hesitate to ask any questions.
 
Any ideas on how many folks are going down yet? Crump, Fish, has anyone made any calls. We do not want to make the trip and not be able to race.
 
I think I'm going to TCS that weekend b/c they added a regular show and thats the last weekend for UMP points.
 
We will race no matter how many cars show up. If only one car shows up I'll run with them myself. We'll have as many heat races as is necessary, and we'll run a feature. There is a lot of interest in this class down here, but no one really knows exactly what to expect. We ran all season long with a class (cruisers) that only had 2-4 cars per week. Bring them down we are running, regardless. I would like to have a little feedback of who is coming for sure..thanks in advance. Danny Little
 
65 Range Escort, (unfortunately Prelude is not ready yet) will be there for sure. I just need Gate and race times.

I will be there, I just got off the phone with my bro he will be there as well. I cant wait to race at Benton. Everyone needs to get together and make the trip, it will be a blast. Spread the word.

Gate opens at 4:30

Pill draw ends at 6:30

Drivers meeting at 6:45

Hot laps at 7:00

Racing starts at 7:30

If you are running late just call in for pill draw.

im trying my darndest to get dad to bring my car down, and jake is doing so well that he will be driving at the fall nationals so he might be coming down to Benton too-if we can get Dad to!!

Come on StarRacers dad(sorry I dont remember your name), pull that thing down to Benton. And I heard you won the feature at DRR last week in Jakes car. Congrats, I bet Jake was p!ssed:D
