Eldon, MO-September 3, 2006-

In a very intense night of racing, Brian Brown emerged victorious in the 3rd Annual LOS 360 Nationals co-sanctioned by the O’Reilly Auto Parts Winged Outlaw Warriors and the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders.
Bobby Hawks jumped into the lead from his pole starting position and as the field went down the backstretch, contact was made between fifth-starting Brown and sixth-starting Jason Evans with Evans flipping wildly. A handful of drivers were also involved trying to take evasive action as Bryan Grimes, Matt Sutton, and Toby Brown all received damage. Brown would return after replacing a top wing and Grimes a nose wing. Sutton would also make the needed repairs to return to action. A sigh of relief was felt when Evans emerged from his badly damaged machine.
On the second start, Hawks again jumped into the lead followed by Jon Corbin.
The action would not stay green for long as the yellow flag came out for a Brad Best spin in turn two on lap three. By this point, the drivers on the move were thirteenth-starting Jesse Hockett, who was up to sixth and nineteenth-starting Randy Martin, who was up to tenth.
On the restart, Brown moved past his cousin, Jon Corbin, in turn two and set his sights on Hawks. Hawks was up to the challenge as he held off Brown until the yellow came out for an Eric Schrock 360 in turn two. Due to the yellow being thrown, Schrock would lose his spot, which was solidly in the top ten.
On the lap eight restart, Brown made a turn two pass of Hawks to take the lead.
By the one-third mark, the running order was Brown, Hawks, Corbin, and Hockett. Another driver on the move was Foster Landon, who was up to eighth after starting twentieth.
By lap thirteen, Hawks was in an intense battle with Corbin and Hockett. A lap later, Hockett made his way past Corbin and on lap fifteen Hockett moved into second past Hawks. Just as he made the pass, the yellow flag came out for Matt Sutton, who rolled to a stop in turn four. This would nullify the pass and move Hockett back to third.
On the restart, Brown would again take off, but Hockett was able to work his way past Hawks and set his sights on Brown.
By lap nineteen, in lapped traffic, Hockett was able to make his way up to Brown.
A lap later, Hockett performed a slide job in turn two. Hockett was able to keep up enough momentum to take the lead as Brown looked for a way past.
For the next couple of laps, Hockett led and the duo came into heavy lapped traffic. Hockett was trying to use any available groove to get past the traffic as Brown stayed near him waiting for “The Rocket” to make a mistake.
On lap twenty-four, the action would stop as Dustin Adams spun in turn four. The stop in action would allow the crowd to get a breath after some intense racing between two of Missouri’s best young drivers.
On the restart, in open track, Brown performed a slide job in turn two to take back the lead. Hockett would make a couple of runs at Brown, but to no avail as the Grain Valley, MO pilot would go on to the win in Tim and Gina Doogs’ Maxim with Ostrich power. Hockett drove a great race and would finish second in the VKCC Motorsports DRC with Wesmar power. Hawks would finish a strong third in his Lumley Trucking mount followed by fellow Illinois driver Robbie Standridge in fourth. Weld Wheels Hard Charger Foster Landon would come home fifth after moving up fifteen positions. Corbin would hold on to sixth, while Martin moved up twelve positions to finish seventh. Two-time 2006 LOS winner Jeff Stanley would finish eighth with Toby Brown charging back to a ninth place finish after his earlier troubles. Rounding out the top ten was former WOW champion Mike Trent.
The Winged Outlaw Warrriors will next be in action on Saturday, September 16th at 24 Raceway in Moberly, MO.

Mincer and Walden also slid to a stop to avoid the blocked track. Barnhouse would be the only driver not able to continue. On the restart, Walden jumped into the lead and would lead until lap five when he nearly turned over in turn three after hitting a rut. On lap four, Adams got too high and Nichols shot by for second. Near the end, Schrock was on the move on the high side. Over the last three laps, Schrock and Nichols put on a great battle for the second spot. Notes-Grimes jumped into the lead followed by Boyer and Martin. On lap three, Martin was able to get by Boyer in turn four on the high side. He would then set his sights on Grimes and would make a pass for the lead at the flagstand to complete lap five. The order would stay Martin, Grimes, and Boyer and on lap seven Krieger spun in turn four to bring out the yellow. A lap later, Eastin would spin in turn four as well. On lap nine, Mitrisin slid past two competitors, but in the process, spun out in turn four. At the same time, Snyder rolled to a stop at the top of turn four and Krieger came to a stop in the infield. Mitrisin would be the only driver to continue. On the restart, Martin continued to lead and the driver now on the move was Jobe, who was running the bottom groove effectively. On lap eleven, Jobe was able to get by Boyer, but Boyer would not give up the spot without a fight. Jobe ran low and Boyer high as Jobe barely hung on to the position over the next couple of laps. On lap thirteen, Gray was contacted by another car and spun leaving Plath with nowhere to go. Heavy contact was made and both drivers would be towed to the pits. On the final restart, the top three remained the same with Hull just behind and Morgan charging into fifth from his seventeenth starting spot.

Notes-Landon charged through the field to lead lap one. He would extend is lead, but on lap six, he climbed the cushion and lost a big chunk of his lead. That same lap, Marsch gave a slide job to Punch and spun in front of him. Punch, with no place to go, hit Marsch, and spun out. The contact straightened out Marsch, who kept going. Over the next few laps, Landon would again extend his lead followed by Barks, Mincer, and Adams. On lap twelve, in turn four, Black and Fox made contact with Black spinning. This left Barnhouse and Punch with no place to go and Punch ran up and over Barnhouse ending both drivers’ nights. All drivers who were involved would be done for the evening. On the restart, with three lapped cars in between himself and second place Barks, Landon again took off. Barks, apparently in a hurry to try and catch Landon, went hard into turn one and ran into the lapped machine of McCarty and spun to a stop in turn one. The contact would send both drivers to the pits. The final laps were incident free as Landon won easily.
