Did anyone see the impressive meteorite that went streaking across the sky during the sportsman feature at Pevely Saturday night?

I saw a very awesome green something shooting acrooss the sky as I was talking with a guy in the ouside pit area. I yelled out , then others saw the end of the show!

I seen it coming home from Charleston Speedway,,,funny thing is,,it looked like it was right in front of us. We were probably 150 miles from Pevely, LOL

I seen something Saturday night also. But i was at home in Lenzburg Illinois, It might have been the beer though!! LOL

I saw it going down St. Rose Road.

Saw it just south of Blue Mound on our way home from Macon. That was neat to see....

I saw it on my way home from St Francois County Raceway, heading toward Fredericktown, Mo.

So it seems like most of East Central and Southeast Missouri, along with most of West Central and Southern Illinois seen this event. Amazing that it didn't make the news!!

I went ahead and reported this sighting to the American Meteor Society.

I saw it while westbound on Hwy 70 near Lake STL. It was in the western sky moving southeast to northwest. I think it was around 1:45?????
