Mark Burgtorf, Michael Long, Terry Houston and Steve Carlin all picked up feature event wins at Quincy Raceways Sunday night May 1.

The Budweiser IMCA Late Models lined up their feature event inverted by point average for the first time this season Sundayt night and it made for a spectacular feature event race. Denny Woodworth jumped into the lead at the drop of the green of the 30 lap main event but was followed closely by Matt Strassheim and Tom Darbyshire. The three battle side by side and tooth and nail over the first half of the event. Mark Burgtorf had started on the inside of row but was working his way to the front and on lap seventeen, Burgtorf got around Strassheim for third. Burgtorf then set his sights on Woodworth and Darbyshire who were having their own little battle for the top spot. Burgtorf trailed the duo until his opportunity presented itself to pass both Darbyshire and Woodworth on the twenty second circuit. Burgtorf then pulled to a comfortable lead with Woodworth holding off Darbyshire for second. Terry Schlipman tallied up fourth with Strassheim taking fifth. Darbyshire, Woodworth and Burgtorf all grabbed heat race wins with Ron Elbe scoring the win in the Summy Tire and Auto Center Trophy Dash.

David Holder took the lead of the Miller Lite A-Modified feature event and looked like he might just make it two in a row for a while. Brandon Lennox had other ideas as he caught up to Holder on the seventh lap of the 20 lapper. Lennox ducked low and took over the lead with Michael Long following along on the next lap. Long pressed the issue of the lead with Lennox over the next couple of laps when a daring inside move on the fourth corner allowed him to take over the top spot. Lennox stayed with Long over the remainder of the event but had to settle for second with Holder salvaging third. Gary Wilson and HenryDelonjay rounded out the top 5. Long and Danny Lake were the heat race winners.

The B-Modified main event was again marred by too many caution flags but the class was able to get in the scheduled 20 laps of the main event. Defending B-Mod Track Champion, Tony Dunker grabbed the lead at the start followed closely by Terry Houston and Joe Hooper. Houston was able to get into the lead on the third circuit when Dunker made a slight bobble. Houston then proceeded to hold onto the lead through several caution periods and several challenges from Robbie Reed. Reed settled for second with Wyatt Lance in third, Joe Hooper fourth and Jim Leffew in fifth. Hooper, Bob Hightower and Lance were the heat race winners with Lance taking the win in the P&S Auto and Truck Collision Repair Trophy Dash.

The Bomber Main Event winner was decided in the tech lane instead of on the track. Adam Birck charged into the lead of the bomber main event from his eighth starting spot on the eighth lap and pulled to a comfortable lead until the checkered flag fell, but during tech inspection it was found that Birck had a light weight flywheel that is banned in the class thus giving the win to Steve Carlin. Second went to Michael Larson, third to Jerry Jansen, fourth to Brent Chapman and fifth to Travis Booher. Jansen, Mike Robinson and Eddie Dieker.
