C.A.R.S. Championship Chase Set To Begin This Friday

The long awaited 2006 Crate American Racing Series Championship Points Chase will begin this Friday, March 31, at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, KY. Over forty drivers have registered to participate in the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series with many more drivers expected to join in the coming weeks. Valuable C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series Championship Points are up for grabs and a large number of teams are expected to begin their quest for the lions share of the C.A.R.S. Weekly Racing Series Points Fund at Paducah International Raceway this coming Friday, March 31.

Paducah International Raceway made national headlines when NASCAR stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and Ken Schrader purchased the McCracken County track along with Midwestern promoter Bob Sargent in November 2005. As previously announced, PIR will welcome racers and fans every Friday night throughout the 2006 racing season. The 3/8th-mile, high-banked oval will host 31 events featuring U.M.P. Super Late Models, U.M.P. Modifieds, C.A.R.S. Late Models and Pure Stocks from March through September. Mini Sprints and the exciting 4-Cylinder Warriors will also compete on a limited race schedule.

Directions to Paducah International Raceway: From Paducah take I-24 East to exit 11, then go south on Husband Road 1/8 mile to Lydon Road, turn left on Lydon Road 1 mile to stop sign, turn right on Oaks Road, go 1 mile to Shemwell Lane to the track (across from Farrington Airport).
