Camden takes Pro ATV title at Big River Sand Drags

BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- (May 31, 2003) Archie Camden of Bonne Terre was the top eliminator and first place winner in the Pro ATV class at Big River Sand Drags Saturday night. Camden defeated second place winner Paul Luther in the top eliminator race.

In Super Pro ATV, Gary Curtis of Blue Springs defeated his son not once, but twice, to win both the first place and top eliminator honors. The night was not all bad for the second place finishing Charlie Curtis as he later would win the "Fast 8" competition following the races.

In ATV-1, Zeb Lee of Farmington was the top eliminator and first place winner while Nathan Glore of Park Hills captured second place.

In Junior ATV, Garth Farris of Potosi won his third consecutive class title by taking first place in the class. He later defeated Kelston Boyster in the top eliminator race to cap off a perfect night.

In Vehicle ET, Carla Glatczak of Potosi was the top eliminator and first place winner while Jon Wies of Wentzville finished in second place.

Racing action at Big River Sand Drags continues this Saturday night. Gates open at 3 p.m. with time trials at 4 p.m. and racing at 7. All of the Missouri Sand Racing Association (MSRA) classes will be participating in the event.
