That was an awesome finish and win for Carl tonight at Gateway. And he didn't hold back on the interview afterwords. I hope NASCAR doesn't step in again, and anyway it looked like Brad tried to move up to block but Carl never lifted.
 
well i don't like brad but i wonder how much of a different tune carl will be singing when it is him that is totaly smashed up. as far as nascar stepping in if i remember right carl was a lap or two down when he sent brad on the wild flip. I personaly don't see the pride taken in winning because a cheap shot but to each his own.
 
you are so right dozer79. i dont really care for either driver but i dont want to see that kind of a finish...
 
Carl's actions tore up alot of inncoent bystandards, once again. That isnt racing, and crap like that doesn't help out the local level racing either, monkey see-monkey doo.
 
Wow, so much for standing behind the local racer. Yes Brad had a good car, but so did Carl. And they raced hard door to door for several laps with no problems. Then there was the incident where Brad dove onto pit road right in front of Carl who had committed on the back straightway, and Brad spun out almost collecting Steven Wallace. Does everyone remember that stupid move. Then when they get on the last lap everyone knows it is going to be all out racing and Brad drives in deep bumping and upsetting Carl's car. And when they came off turn 4 from the views on my TV it looked like Carl held his line and Brad drifted up to block, bad move cause Carl never lifted. Carl never held back on his interview either, Brad started it Carl finished it. I hope NASCAR sees all thinks when they review this.
 
I am a fan of Carl Edwards, but that move from Carl was totally uncalled for...seriously!!! Carl turned in on the this young punk(who I don't like) on purpose. Carl needs to understand the true concept of what rubbing and racing is. Carl is one of the older guys in this league and he should show how it is done right, not this crap he has been doing lately. And who gives a rats ***** about where he is from and that this is his track. You people think it is alright to wreck people on purpose just because he was raised close to this track...get real!!!

Carl needs to get his head out of his ***** and grow up!!! He is starting to act like these younger punks.

Gee, Dozer 79, how soon we forget when last year Brad flipped Carl & sent him in the fence and ended up hurting some fans in the stands!!! Brad has caused numerous accidents with other drivers who have complained about him..He is not the most popular driver in the garage at the present time..Brad admitted by hitting Carl the lap before was how he figured the only way around Carl. Is that ok? If so Brad will be dumped many times by various drivers if he keeps this driving style up..
 
BigL, there is a difference in upsetting someones car as you put it when Brad got Carl loose and putting someone in the wall intentionally as Carl did to Brad. Carl has turned into an *** now that Roush can't give him a Cup car to win in. He hasn't been competive in a race this year and its starting to get to him. None of these Cup guys should be racing in the Nationwide Series to begin with.
 
carl got brad back at atlanta but tonight was totally un called for, i was at the race tonight and brad never once tried to put him in the wall. i am a big carl edwards fan or i used to be, but once again tonight was horrible racing by him, i have lost all respect for carl
 
Brad got into the back of Carl in order to take the lead, and Carl saved it...

Brad tried to block coming to the flag. Carl didn't lift, Brad didn't save it.

After the race, Balash the Nationwide series official gave what an objective overview of the incident when he called it "hard racing." I think he was correct.
 
I believe people tend to see things the way the want to. I for one dont care for either driver more or less so I stand by the fact that Brad moved Carl and Carl crashed Brad for it. Neither move in my book is real racing but hooking someone and tearing up a ton of equipment is uncalled for. And for those who says it was just hard racing on Carls part at the end has no reason to be bashing the 22 for anything he done this evening.
 
edwards CLEARLY TURNED DOWN ON KESELOWSKI. that is obvious. maybe it was a payback from when keselowski got into edwards in turn 1, but that was just normal bump and run stuff; that happens all the time. just part of normal last lap activities. anyobody that says kesewski drifted up in front of edwards is either a total idiot or blind.cant be anything else. i just looked at the video. i suggest they all do the same. keselowsi clearly held the car down ,not going past halfway up the track.edwards turned him around to the right, tearing up a lot of cars not involved in their deal. edwards is an arrogant a s s, with no regard for other competitors.
 
Wait until CRY-BABY CARL gets his *** parked in the 10th row of the stands. If I were Jack Rousch I would be ashamed to have a racer like that represent my name. Brad's dad said it best, If I need to put my driver's suit on I will. I hope that Nascar does put a fine & more on him for this. I agree that if you did not see Carl turn into him you need glasses or you know nothing about racing. Even Rusty Wallace said it uncalled for, & you know some of the ways he raced before. If that would have been on dirt 15 yrs.ago I would have been glad CRY-BABY CARL an *** kickin'.

I agree with you 100 percent!! And i WAS a Carl fan. Im tired of it. Brad did get into him........tried the bump and run. How many other times we seen this move before??Did Brad wreck him??No........he nudged him. Do i agree with that move...well no i dont personally. But hey....they all do it especially green white checkers. 2 laps and end of the race. Now if Carl had nudged Brad which he totally could have done and wont the race anyway then all would have been fair game. Im tired of Carl and his attitude. Im sure he does not give a rats ***** either nor do i care anymore anyway. I dont like Brad much but.........he is a hard hard racer. I seen today where his dad is furious saying Carl is out to kill his son. If that was my boy....id be mad too. That isnt racing. Tell that to the other people who were involved in the dirty deed. To be blunt.....Brad raced him ALOT cleaner than Carl every can. Sad.
 
Carl has forgotten where he came from and how lucky he is to be there. Hes a great talent that does not need to drive people like that. His testosterone got the best of him there. Sending a car right towards the stands shows no remorse for anyones safety. If it was the other way around he would have went after him in the pits, guaranteed. Begging for rides in the pits to destroying $500,000 worth of equipment on one stupid, greedy move, you've come a long way buddy. Precisely why cup drivers should not be allowed to race lower divisions. You think Albert Pujols could hit good off triple A pitchers?
 
Opinions are just like A/Holes::: Everybody has ONE!!! Now Lets Face it Folks::: When it is Down to the Last Lap in the Final Turn for the Checkered Flag---Good Racers Do What They Have to Do to Win the Race and That is What Happened Here:: Good Hard Racing at Its Best:::Brad has Done the Same Thing Many Times to Several Drivers--Carl has been involved as Well--and Folks::: That Racing!!! Carl has Talent:: Brad has Talent--All the Drivers have Talent are they Wouldn't be there.. The Rubbing:: Banging:: Blocking:: What Ever You Want to Call it isn't Brand New to this Sport... May the BEST MAN WIN!!!! and That is Just What Happened in this Case...If You are Going to PULL Over and let the other Racer Go By::: You Shouldn't be Racing...This wasn't the First Time things like this Happened and It Won't Be the Last>>> I for One Hope Nascar See's it this Way Also... STAND ON THE GAS!!!!!
 
my beef is a lot of cars got tore up that had nothing to do with these two guys maybe all of them should take care of taking carl out for the next few weeks

Yeah we all remember. Especilly the fans that were sitting in the grandstand THAT THEY NAMED AFTER HIM last night. As forthe crash it sux that it tore up a bunch of cars and maybe hurt some one. Krashalousy sk i ski dont seem to learn nothin. Carl shoulda let him go and then walked up to him in victory lane a punched his lights out in front of the whole world. No tore up cars, and nobody hurt... cept Mouth K.
 
I'm not for or against either one BUT there actions are affecting other teams. Look at last night Carl taking Brad out also took a lot of other cars out. I'm guessing some of them are low budget teams. Now they have to spend most of not all of there winnings to fix their Race cars. I guess no body got hurt which is a plus. YET! If they want to hurt themselves so be it. Leave every one else alone. In my opinion Full time cup drivers should be limited on how many nationwide and trucks races they can run. Not to be allowed to run for nationwide or truck championship. Do they feel that they can't win a cup championship? Just my two cents. Richard
