Carl's 4-Wheel Drive & Performance Center To Sponsor Pro E.T. Class At Gateway; Pro Mods Return To Gateway!

(Regular Points Racing Returns This Weekend; First Midnight Madness Set For April 22)

Madison, IL - Gateway International Raceway announced a partnership with Carl's 4-Wheel
Drive & Performance Center of Bartelso, Illinois for the 2005 Weekly Drag Racing Series.
They will sponsor the Pro E.T. Class for the remainder of the season and be part of Gateway's
Tuesday night Street Car Shootout Test and Tune Program.

Carl's will have the exclusive naming rights to Gateway's Pro E.T. class for the 2005 season. In
addition, they will also sponsor the "Tuesday Night Truck Challenge" pitting the fastest two
trucks of the night against each other. This is in conjunction with Gateway's Tuesday night
Street Car Shootout programs which include the "Wise Speed Shop Challenge", "The Gateway
Quick 16" and "The Gateway Front-Wheel Drive Challenge".

Regular Points Bracket Racing also resumes this weekend at Gateway. Friday Night Point classes will
run on both Friday and Sunday. Sunday's gates will open at 8AM. Pro Mod's will run with our
Saturday Points Classes, therefore the gates will open at 11am, not the normal opening time of
noon.

Weekend schedule:

Friday Night - the same as normal. Jr. Drag, High School, Pro & Street Bike, Jackpot, Wise
Speedshop Challenge - gates open at 4:30

Saturday - The Jeffers Mid West Pro Mod Series will join Super Pro, Pro E.T., Street E.T. and
the money race - gates open at 11am

Sunday - Friday Night Points Classes will run again. Gates open at 8 AM.

The opening weekend (April 1-2) saw ran wash away Friday. This weekend Clay Tyler (Wood
River, IL) will be looking to extend his 22-point lead in the Pro Class. Two weeks ago his 69'
Camaro beat out Don Allen (Waterloo, IL) for the win. Super Pro 1/8-mile it was Greg Sesti
running a 135.84 in the finals against Dan Phelps (Labadie, MO) to take home the win. In the
Super Pro 1/4-mile class 2004 defending champion Doug Graf (Troy, MO) was upset by the
pride of Quincy, Illinois Dave Schutte. Graf still holds a 21-point lead in the class. Finally, in
the Street class Ron Beach Sr. (Sparta, IL) downed Mike Davis (O'Fallon, MO) for the win.

Midnight Madness returns to Gateway on Friday night, April 22 with new times from 9 PM - 3
AM. Gates will open at 8 PM. The band lowercase will play two sets on the evening (8:45
PM & 12:45 PM) and at Midnight the Streetfighterz will perform stunts and tricks.

Spectator tickets are $10 for adults while children 12 and under are free. For more information
