Double digit rainfall amounts in the Warrensburg area have forced tracker owners Earl and Susan Walls to alter plans at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) for the annual Tom Wilson Memorial BBQ Bowl $3,000-to-win modified special, which will now be run tomorrow night, Sunday, July 1st. Admission and pit gates will open at 5 with hotlaps taking to the track at 7 and racing action getting underway at 7:30. This particular event is one of the premier races of the year in the local area and fans can expect several drivers to be on hand in the four racing divisions for a great night of competition when the gates at the track swing open.

The Browning Brothers Fireworks Extravaganza is also still scheduled to take place as soon as it is dark enough for everyone in attendance to enjoy the colorful explosions. The Rib Crib is this year’s supplier of the BBQ meat; a special one-time addition to the CMS concessionaire stands. The modifieds are not the only division that will be present Sunday evening; the ULMA Late Models, Street Stocks and B-modifieds will also compete throughout the night.

Admission Prices for Sunday night’s races are adults $15, seniors 65 and over and students/military with I.D. $12, children six to twelve $10 and children 5 and under are free with pit passes at $25. For current racing status information call the track report line by dialing (660) 747-2166. Be sure to bookmark the track’s official Website at www.centralmissourispeedway.net and check back often for schedule and track news updates as well as complete results and point standings in each racing division. The track is located four miles north of Warrensburg, Missouri, on Highway 13 and 15 miles south of Interstate 70 from the Higginsville exit on Highway 13. We’ll see all of you Sunday, July 1st!
