Chad, who is coming off a breakout year in 2009, which included a 21st to 3rd charge in the Magnolia State 100 at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi as well as a second place finish in the 2009 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) standings.
For the 2010 season, Chad is piloting the #1c Tomkat of Chunky/Rocket/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model. Thrash will once again focus on the 2010 MSCCS title, and will also compete in various other sanctioned and unsanctioned Super Late Model events throughout the Southeast.
Thrash competed in the 2010 season opener for the MSCCS over the weekend at South Mississippi Speedway in Gulfport, Mississippi. The $5,000 to win event drew 26 Super Late Models. Chad locked into the dash via time trials, and after finishing 8th in the dash, he earned the 8th starting spot in the feature. Unfortunately his night would come to an early end, when he headed pitside on lap 13 with an overheating engine. He was credited with a 20th place finish.
