And I don't mean the feature win. I'm talking about another driver sent to the hospital because of Tommy's ignorant driving. What's it gonna take to get him out of a sprint car? Someones funeral???

What happened well comming outa 2 in the heat race worley took out jay landalt in the 21 stenhouse car and then in the feature took out 88 of Evans. Someone wanna tell me how many ppl you get to take out in a night before they decide ur an idot and need to go home????

Oh and j drove himself to the ER complaining of lower back pains and had x rays done. He was waiting on a doctor last i herd

I can't believe that Tommy wasn't black flagged after taking Jay out on the first lap of the heat. I didn't see the incident with Evans, but did see the one with Jay and Tommy definately should have been penalized for that one. Too bad Tommy still had is helmet on when he got punched!! Hope everything is ok with Jay! Hate to see someone get hurt because of Tommy driving stupid. Hope to see Jay back soon!

If he got punched it had to be by Evans, Jay went and talked to him after the heat race and naturally he wasn't happy, but no punch was thrown in that one, I agree with most on here, when you take out 2 cars in one night you should consider finding a new hobby!

OK let's get things straight there were no punches Jay's dad touched Tommy's hlelmet and got throwned out. Tommy did not take Jay out on purpose. Tommy was ahead of him some guy showed the film to Tommys crew. Jay came to Tommy's pit and didn't say much he was ran off very quick. I don't know what happen with Evans that was a racing deal they hit tires. Oh well you got your fans that grip about every little thing, but look who picked up the check. Way to go Tommy!!!

You must be kidding!!!

Over every little thing...you call destroying Jay's car a little thing? And sending him to the hospital a little thing. (And what about Steve Short a year or so ago.) I know, I know it wasn't Tommys fault....well it happens WAY TO MUCH with him for it not to be his fault. Honey with the exception of a hand full of his friends, NO ONE WANTS TO SEE HIM IN A SPRINT CAR!!!! He drives it like he did the stock car and you can't do that with a sprint or you have exactly what we have. An IDIOT in a fast car who is going to kill someone one of these days. I just pray to the good lord that it isn't one of my family or friends it happens to.

now I'm not a sprint car expert by anymeans and am not real familiar with many of these sprint drivers that show up at these specials at I55. But how did Tommy not take out Jay on purpose? I was sitting right in Turn 1. I saw Jay get the run on the high side and get almost around Tommy in the middle of Turn 1&2, on the exit of Turn 2 Tommy's car just moved from the low groove to the high groove on it's own? I find that very hard to believe. I could see it driffting up a little but not as much nor as drastic as Tommy's did. It looked very intentional from where I was sitting.

i heard last night after the races that Jay broke his back in three places hope your alright Jay, Ihave had my run in's with Tommy also he turned me over at Farmington in 02. I guess his once found religion didn,t help much.

Joe Dirt

We had a name for Tommy down at Benton "Joe Dirt" first for the Mullett and second for the dirty passes. He is a pretty nice guy but he often takes huge risk and crashes people for no reason. He had been doing a better job in the past two years of not crashing as many people as he did three years ago, but two in one night for a guy who has been racing that long is a bit much.

First off, i don't know the drivers of sprints #97 or #21. i only see them two or three times a year at i-55, but, the #97 car DID NOT hold his line comming out of turn 2.
He knew the #21 car was on top, with a open wheel car it is a must to hold your line out of turns.
If you want to change your line ,do it on the strights.
he did the same thing later in the evening in turn three. that's all i have to say

I happened to be taping the first heat race. After reviewing the tape, Whorley absolutely deliberately put Landolt in the wall. Whorley would never have even been able to make the turn at all if he hadn't used Landolt as a berm. He never lifted and you can see on the tape that he slid into Landolt at full throttle, and at the point of contact Worleys nerf bar contacted Landolt's left rear.

You're right, it probably wasn't on purpose, but the fact remains that he still drives over his head about 99% of the time. And you probably need to ask yourself, how many "racing deals" do you need to have before you come to realize that maybe this guy doesn't need to be racing a sprint car. When racing Late Models he had a bad habit sticking his nose underneath another car and shoving (or spinning) them out of his way, I guess he's finally found a way to make it to the front in sprint cars. For this I say let's give him the "BONE HEAD OF THE WEEK AWARD" for his grade A driving habits.

If it wasn't intentional, then Whorley has no grasp of the laws of physics. He knew that Landolt was up there and he went ahead and drove into him in an attempt to steal his line. When Whorley went into turn one down low as hard as he did he was obviously changing his apex of the corners to the high center of turn two, which Landolt already occupied, and he knew it.

Looks like Worley, Jr. is at it again. When are people gonna wake up and see that this guy does NOT need to be racing a sprint car, but needs to be in a Demolition Derby!!! This guy LOVES taking people out. If he thinks you are gonna beat him, he will put you in the wall faster than Tony Danza can do his ignorant laugh! But at least he hasnt done that to Tim or Joey Montgomery...guess the fact to the matter is he cant catch them boys!!! hahaha :p

SPRINT97-- you're a moron!

Here's my response to your idiotic quote- You're stupid! How could you possibly think Worley didn't take Jay out on purpose? Jay was SO beating Worley & he couldn't handle losing so he took Jay out. We have the whole thing on video, so don't EVEN try to pull that crap with me. It's pretty pathetic that he has to get, what? his ONE friend (he couldn't possibly have more than one) to defend him. It's odd that yours is the only quote defending Worley The Retard, when everyone else seems to KNOW that Jay totally got cheated! I know him and it ****S that when he's really rockin' the track some local screws him over. And as far as Worley "picking up the check" he only won because he cheated, but i guess some things never change. NOT "way to go tommy" REAL drivers don't do that. YOU'RE A POSER!

What was the track officials/scorers looking at when all this unfolded??? My props to all people involved with I-55 on a wonderful show on Wednesday, but you guys missed a call. Worley should have been sent home. Racing has no room for someone like this in its sport. All these drivers put too much time and money in their cars to have someone come out and act like that. Totally uncalled for. All these drivers understand if they destroy their car on a racing deal, but not when they are taken out like that. What little respect I had for Worley I lost it Wednesday.

Jay didnt drive himself to the hospital his parents did and he is ok with a slipped disc in his back. they are getting the 21s back together and will be back in a couple of weeks.
