I just talked to my mother and Sam with UMP, the races at Charleston have been cancelled for tonight. They must have had some bad storms go through there last night.

Well we have been hearing for weeks about Morgan and Mt Vernon not having there Summernational event but were told that they were still on.So when Highland rained out within minutes they had taken Morgans date.So i'm assuming with this rain out and the fact the Mt Vernon has not run at all this year nor really had any postings for this event that this rain out will take that date.May be wrong but someone knew something about the whole Morgan thing for them to give up there date for another tracks rain out.

June 18, 2009 — Early morning showers that rolled through the Charleston Speedway grounds Thursday have forced the cancellation of Night 6 of the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Tour.
No makeup was immediately announced for the 40-lap, $6,000-to-win race, although UMP DIRTcar and track officials are discussing possible options.
The “Hell Tour” will resume Friday night June 19 at Farmer City Raceway (Ill.) for a 40-lap, $10,000-to-win event.
Defending champion Dennis Erb holds a three point lead after his second win on the month long tour Wednesday night at Belle Clair Speedway in Belleville, Ill.

Yes it stormed all morning. heavy rain on soaked ground is not good. There was trees, power lines down around the charleston area. it stormed about 8am this morning.
