Speed TV is doing it's annual Speed Performance Awards.

This year under the category of Temper, Temper - video of the incident between Steve Sheppard and Dennis Erb during the SummerNationals has made the finalists list.

I dont think its fair to be so critical about this. If you have been around long enough we have all lost our temper at the track at one time or another. Perhaps not to this degree but still made an ***** of ourselves. I have seen everyone from Don Klien to Bobby Johnson and all between do it (even you) so lets not be so quick to throw stones. I for one know emotions are high and often tempers get the better of us . Dont think this hurts our sport at all just gives it charactor and shows the dedication we put into what we do. Think there are alot bigger issues with our society then a scrap at Highland!!

Guess I should have elaborated a little more Roger. It's the handing out of an award and the glorifing of it thats the problem. Most of us that have shown our rears really don't need to be reminded of it . BTW dont get me started on the issues LOL

Ya so what let it go. My vote would have been for Force if he would have KO across the forhead of Pedregon. but got to go with the home town boys. It might not be the way to be remimberd but oh well. Every time you watch it you can vote again. So keep on clicking the home town boys

Actually, if you look at the video that was posted, taken from the end of the straight, you'll see that Sheppard clips the cushion up by the wall coming out of the turn, kicking him down as Erb is running up from the bottom. Purely a racing incident on a tight track.
