As long as their are rules, drivers and race teams will push the envelope and try to find loopholes around those rules. Others will just ignore them and cheat anyway with hopes of not getting caught. For 37 year-old Chris Madden, it seems that he may of pushed the rules a little to far at Cherokee Speedway on September 2nd.
the Battle of the Eastern All Star Tour Series posted the following after Madden’s tires were sent to an independent laboratory:
Following a post-race inspection the Battle of the Eastern All Star Tour (BEAST) has stripped Chris Madden of his $4,000 victory at Cherokee Speedway on Sunday Night September 2nd. Tire samples taken following qualifying and the feature event, did not match the Hoosier benchmark sample at the independent laboratory, thus resulting in disqualification.
Casey Roberts has now been declared the winner of the $4,000 event.
Casey Roberts will inherit the victory and all drivers will be moved up one spot in the events final standings.
When something like this happens it makes people question just how often Madden could of been disqualified.
With that being said, Madden has filed an appeal with the series.
