Bear Lake, PA --- Chub Frank make the trek westward to the mighty high banks of Eldora Speedway for the annual THE DREAM race that saw the defending Renegade Dirt Car Racing Series champion finish the main event in his Corry Rubber/Corry Laser/Nystrom's Auto Sales/Draime Racing Engines/Rocket Chassis/Carerra Shocks/Pierotti Motorsports/Farr MotorSports Chevrolet Monte Carlo #1* in the 13th position despite a minor mechanical malfunction.

Out of 135 dirt Late Models that qualified, Chubzilla was the 34th fastest qualifier with a best time of 17.906. Starting sixth in the fifth heat race, Chubzilla roared through the ultra-fast turns of Eldora’s spacious ½ mile clay surface to finish second which placed him in the eighth starting slot for the $100,000 to win event. For the first time in the race’s illustrious history the race went non-stop green to checker. During the heat of battle Chub broke a bolt on the birdcage on the left rear right around the 40th lap and bent the left rear shock. Basically, it was hang on from that point on and was Chub felt lucky to finish let alone cross the checkers in 13th.

A popular stop for race fans during the Eldora Speedway THE DREAM weekend was the Chub Frank/Slavic Racing Shirts trailer that was a big hit with fans of Chubzilla and dirt Late Model racing. The beautifully decorated trailer held all of Chub Franks’ merchandise and the debut of a whole new line of collectibles and wearing apparel. Selling like hot cakes were, and are, the three new Chub Frank t-shirts themed with the 25th Anniversary of Chub’s career, the ‘Urban Assault’ t-shirt and the Team Chubzilla shirt.

Representatives of Chub Frank Racing went throughout the facility handling out “Chub Bucks”, worth $2.00 off Chubzilla merchandise during the weekend.

Other popular items are the all-new Chub Frank sunglasses, Chub Frank stopwatches, Chubzilla front license plates and the new foldable can koozie. Another unique item was the ‘4-Abreast Chub Frank Terrible Towels’. Also attracting a lot of attention were the newly released Chub Frank diecast racecars released by American Diecast Company in both 1/24 and 1/64 scale.

All of Chubzilla’s merchandise is now available on his website at: www.chubfrank.com or at the track by stopping by the souvenir trailer.
