Chub Frank Travel’s to Okalahoma With The World of Outlaw Late Models

Atlanta, GA. – Chub Frank and the 1* team made the 38 plus hour round trip from Bear Lake, Pa to Muskogee, Okalahoma on Sunday July 16th for the World of Outlaw race at Outlaw Motor Speedway in Muskogee on Friday and compete for the first time ever in the state Oklahoma. Outlaw Motor Speedway is one of Oklahoma’s premier dirt track facilities featuring a 3/8th mile dirt oval with an 11 degree bank that offers a true three groove racing experience. This action packed event will feature time trials, heat races and an edge-of-your-seat 50-lap $10,000 to-win main event.

On Friday Chub and the 1* team unloaded the Corry Rubber, Allstar Performance, Nystrom's Auto Sales, Draime Racing Engines, Rocket Chassis, Pierotti Motorsports, Slavic Racing Shirts, Farr MotorSports, Chevrolet Monte Carlo #1* for qualifying out of 32 cars entered Chub qualified 2nd. Chub won the second heat race and that put ChubZilla in the dash to determine the top 4 starting positions where he finished 2nd and put him starting on the outside of the front row.



Between the dash and the feature they reworked the race track surface and watered it. At the at the start of the race pole sitter Dale McDowell got the lead closely followed by Bart Hartman and it was obvious that the inside lane was the place to be by the time Chub could get to the inside lane he was back to the 8th position when the caution flag flew on lap 14. After trying to work his way back thru traffic Chub worked his way back to 6th position and would go on and finish 6th for the 50-lap World of Outlaws Late Model Series feature at Outlaw Motor Speedway on Friday night and the western trip. The finish was 1, Bart Hartman, 2, Steve Francis, 3, Billy Moyer, 4, Dale McDowell, 5, Rick Eckert, 6, Chub Frank, 7, Mike Balzano, 8, Dan Schlieper, 9, Jack Sullivan, 10, Mike Brown, 11, Clint Smith, 12, John Blankenship, 13, Justin Fulton, 14, Darrell Lanigan, 15, Scott Bloomquist, 16, Ronny Adams, 17, Rick Aukland, 18, Randy Timms, 19, Jared Landers, 20, Dan Leatherman, 21, Dan Morris, 22, Raymond Merrill, 23, Tim McCreadie, 24, Josh Richards, 25, Eldon Bales, 26, Dewaine Hotlinger.

July 23rd – at Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, MD

July 24th - Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD
