Bear Lake, PA --- Chub ‘Chubzilla’ Frank competed at Jim Near’s K-C Raceway this past weekend for the tour’s two-day Veterans Appreciation Weekend event on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series trail. Chubzilla competed in World of Outlaws Late Model Series competition driving his Lester Buildings, Corry Rubber, All Star Performance, Corry Laser, Slavic Corporation, Farr MotorSports, Lake Shore Paving, Custom Race Engines, Rocket Chassis #1*.
On Friday at K-C Raceway just before the heat races started, rain began to fall washing out the events for Friday nights program.
The following evening at Jim Near’s K-C Raceway where the Bear Lake, Pa. driver qualified his Lester Buildings Rocket in the seventh position out of 48 registered drivers, Chub would end up finishing in his heat race in third in the third heat putting him in the eleventh position in the star studded field. Chub ended up last nights event in the tenth position “I just missed the setup tonight here at KC tonight” stated Chub.
Up next for ChubZilla will be a WoO LMS sanctioned event at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, MO. on Tuesday July 25th. Then on Wednesday the series moves on to Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL. on July 26th.
The entire Chub Frank Racing Team would like to send a speedy recovery to Doc Lehman who is currently in the CCU recovery unit at Aultman Hospital in Canton Ohio. Any one wishing to send cards or get well wishes to Doc may do so by sending them to.
