This past Saturday was the first night of racing action at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway. To kick off the night the track opened the gates at noon while races started at 4: 00 pm and finishing about 7:30 pm. The cold weather didn?t stop our die-hard fans. We really appreciate each and every one of them for supporting their hometown track.

The first feature out on the track was the Street class with Don Everett taking the win, while Matt Musser finished second. Next out was the Pro Street with Tommy Harris taking the checked with John Maines not far behind. In the Open Wheel class it was our 2005 track champion David Flowers showing the way with new comer Anthony Garber sliding into second. Also winning was Kyle Fleming in the Mini Mod. Class and in the Pure Mini class was Eric Perry. Not to be out done, the Storm Pay.com Crate cars roll on the track with two-time Hall of fame winner Jeff Purvis taking the first checkered flag of the season and following a close second was 2005 track champion Carnel Parker and Steven Ashby taking a third place position.

For the remainder of March, the track will open the gates at 12 noon; Hot Laps will begin at 3:00 and races around 4:00. We are trying to race with Mother Nature not against her. So we are making a time compromise. We look forward to seeing a lot of smiling faces as our 2006-racing season begins.
