Well here we go! With the sky looking like it may rain we continued on with our show, thank god we did, it was one heck of a night at the track. We had a special for the UMP Open Wheels with a $2,000 to win and a bonus out there for them if the same winner from Paducah Int'l Raceway came down here and won here too. The out come of this was that the man by the name of Bart Richardson driving the #1 car won Friday night at PIR so he was the one to watch for the bonus. But he didn't have anything for the three cars that finished ahead of him. Ricky Arms of Moss, TN took home the checkered flag for the $2,000 tonight but it wasn't an easy one for him, he had the 182 of Randle Sweeney and the 157 of Mike Marlar all over him the entire race.

It was probably one of the best Open Wheel shows I have seen at Clarksville yet this year and were only a few races into the season. Once the Open Wheels completed their feature it was time for the UMP Late Models to take the t! rack and that they did. They took that track for everything it had tonight once we got them going after a second double file restart. We had 21 total Late Models tonight. Another great door to door action packed 20 lap race. These guys battled from start to checkered with Gary Frost driving the F14 car to victory lane, but that was not a quick and easy win either he had the 1 car of Tony Albright and 33 of Randle Sweeney at his rear bumper all race long. In Pure Mini Stock action we saw the 55 car of Thomas Clinard take home the checkered flag after a few jockies for position with Daryl Johnson driving the 30 car and Timothy Hunter in the 77 car.

In Pro Street car action the 93 of Larry Hamm came home with a checkered flag tonight with the 64 of Matt Potter and Tyrone Dossett in the 44 car rounding out the top three. In Mini Modified racing action we had the 2 car of Stan Ferry finish the race on top and 05 of Flyod Clinard, Jr bringing in second place. Our! last feature of the night was the Street Stock, and as the old saying goes, "last but certianly not least", they topped the night off with some good door to door action also, with 87 driven by Dale Phillips of Clarksville, TN taking the checkered flag and following closely in second was the 10 car of Allen Scott. And just when you think that there is no more cars on the track the Clarksville Speedway Ride Along Car hits the track for a few fans that took advantage of Eddie Paces' kindness and letting him throw them around the track for a few laps. And also before I go, let me remind you fans that we say thank you to you for your support and hope to see you here next weekend. Thank you to the local sponsors and help that make this show possible. God blees to our troops and to all of you.
