Well rain again in sight for the second weekend in a row but we didn’t let it affect our program. We were on as scheduled with action starting at 7:00pm with qualifying for the Pro Street Class, UMP Open Wheels, and the UMP Late Models. In Pro Street qualifying Larry Hamm driving the 93 car, set the fast time. In Open Wheel qualifying action, Randle Sweeney in the 182, set their fast time and in Late Models it was Gary Frost in the F14 car setting the fast time. Setting the fast time guarantees those drivers to a first three row start in the feature but before the feature they have to jockey for position with five of the other fastest cars in their respective class to determine exactly where in the first three rows they will start.

We started our heats off with Street Stock Class, with Jeff Joiner in the 4 car taking the first of three heats for them. taking the second heat checker was the 87 car of Dale Phillips and in the third heat the 10W of Keith Worley took the win.

In Open Wheel heat action we have the quick six dash first with Randle Sweeney in the 182 car taking the win. In the second heat it was Charles Zimmerman in his 93 car taking the checkered and finally in the third heat we saw the 99 car of David Flowers bring home the checkered flag.

Next was UMP Late Model heat time. Tony Albright took home the Late Model Quick Six Heat Dash in his CJ Rayburn #1 car. Heat two was won by Gary Johnson driving his #20 car, and the third heat saw Shawn Granderson in the 41 car take home the checkered.

We watched the birthday boy Matt Potter take home the checkered flag I the Pro Street quick six Dash. With the 55 of the Rookie Lucas Lee taking the checkered flag in heat race two.

Then in Mini action we watched as Dale McCord took home the checkered in the Mini Modified class heat race and the 55 of Thomas Clinard take the checkered in the Pure Mini Stock class.

With heat racing over its time for the intermission and, yeah your right Late Model Ride Car time. We had four eventually satisfied customers take advantage of this rare opportunity to get to experience what the drivers go through in a race by purchasing laps around the track in our Ride Car.

We started our feature action off with the UMP Open Wheels. They ran 15 non stop exciting laps for the crowd with the overall win going to the 182 of Randle Sweeney. The rest of the top five were, 77 of Clayton Miller, 8C of Tim Dierlam, 10Y of Trent Young and 93 of Charles Zimmerman rounding out the top five.

Next on the schedule was for the UMP Late Models with Gary Frost in his F14 car taking home the checkered flag for their 20 lap feature. Following behind him were Tony Albright in his #1 car, Randle Sweeney in the 33, 41 of Shawn Granderson, and 20 of Gary Johnson rounding out the top five.

The Pure Mini Stock Feature saw Thomas Clinard in his 55 machine take home the checkered flag.

The Street Stock Class followed, with the 87 car of Dale Phillips getting the win followed by 71 of Kenny Gibbs, 10 of Allen Scott, J25 of Jennifer Larson and 45 of Dorris McCord rounding out the top five.

We watched as Dale McCord took home the checkered flag in the Mini Modified Class.

In the last race of the night Tyrone Dossett in the 44 took home the checkered in the Pro Street Feature race with, the 11X of Curt Cherry, the 54 of Larry Barber and the T54 of Larry Barber, Jr. trailing at the checkered flag.

Fans don’t forget that the USCS Outlaw Winged Sprint Car Series will be here on May 10th and then that very next weekend the USMA Mini Winged Sprints will be on hand. But we also have Regular Weekly Racing every Saturday night starting at 7:00pm. So come on out its fun for the whole family.
