Clay County and Crates?? Reply here...

It gets deleted??
I haven't deleted a post concerning CCS or crate cars ever that I can remember.

I owe Jimmyd an apology...... everytime I posted or added a post to Stl Racing about the Crate Late Models and Clay County..... when I would go back to ck it ....it would be gone.......... I thought Jimmyd was deleting the posts..... I could not understand why...did not make sense to me.........

WELLLLLLLL he wasn't deleting them !!!! For some reason everytime I would go to the forum on Stl Racing it was taking me to page 3 instead of page 1.............I have no idea why that happened...

BUT........am I red faced??????? Yes I am...... I private pm'ed Jimmyd with an apology and Jimmy being Jimmy accepted graciously...........

Ccs

i was at the the show when the crates were there. there was only a few empty seats scattered here and there... oh yeah the weather was a little on the chilled side as well.

I was also at that show, and there was alot of seats empty. There was another big show goin on that same night. Yes we will discuss it with Dad (Richard). There has been a death in the family and were still dealing with it. Thanks

it would be nice to have a saturday night track to run at for the crates 25 to 30 a night and maybe more plus they all bring 2 or 3 people even if they dont bring any fans they pay for their own way

i think they would pay their own way too.... but I feel they would bring a fan base also......... I know I like to watch Shane Cockrum in whatever he drives...

Thanks carcar, but I cant take the credit. There are at least 30 other crate drivers in the immediate area who wheel the hell out of these cars. These guys aren't your rich boys with money talent, their work hard, race hard guys who would excel in the Dirt Late Model World if they did't have kids, and 9-5 jobs, and other things that they enjoy in life. You know sometimes I wish I had given everything else up 5 years ago to commit to dirt late models, sleep in my truck, spend every dime trying to get noticed. I would most likely have gone farther than I have so far(at least sooner anyways) but when I talk to my buddies like Rodney Melvin and he talkes about just how burnt out he is from the grind, whats he's missed out with his family, and hows he's currently enjoying family life, I dont regret not doing that. When you have children and you ask yourself what the best thing you have ever done is, it probably doesn't include racing, just your kids or marriage etc. Thats why I am so proud to be apart of the crate cars because I get the best of both worlds.

I am looking forward to getting acquainted with some more Crate late model drivers this year..... I need to get some interviews with this bunch....
Goodluck this year guys.... and I hope you go to CCS....

I realize that I am a driver and not a promoter, although I did spend a few years within that side of view. BUT this seems to be a no brainer. I think we can expect to race at CCS this year. And that will be great for us.
