Once again we had an awesome night of racing, on the always fast and smooth 1/3 mile high banked clay oval track. The pits were packed with plenty of cars for all 3 classes, and they all showed up to do battle. There was excitement right from the start of the evening. The heat races were action packed with many battles being settled on the last lap. The stands were packed with race fans and they were on their feet most of the time with door to door excitement. During intermission entertainment was provided by several children racing their Power Wheels against each other. We will do this again later on in the year, as everyone had a great time with it. Then we fired the action back up with the

Modified Feature: 20 cars started the 20 lap event. The first caution of the night came on lap 4 when Travis Koehler spun his #00 machine in turn 1. When we restarted lap 4 Brent Warner looped the 20 car in turn three. We went gree with plenty of cars changing places until lap six when Michael Fox & Chris Moore had problem both cars retiring. Then on lap seven Randy McMahon looped his #8 ride in turn three, we lined the cars up and once again went green. There was great action between all cars many positions being swaped back and forth until lap sixteen when Fred Cox brought out the caution. We went green again and it was the best race of the season with Brian Shaw, Kelby Simmons, and Kelly Duvall all trading spots for the win. The fans were on their feet and cheering for their favorite, when the checkered flew!

Street Stock Feature: 16 cars were lined up for their 20 lap race. We went green with great racing until lap eleven when the 7M ride of Kaleb Miller spun in front of traffic and collected the 14 car of Timmy Snelling and the 88 of Bill Dugger. On the restart of lap eleven Miller spun the 109 car of Ryan Pratt in turn two bringing that lap to a yellow again. Lap eleven took another hit when the 26 car of Rance Carter had problems and scattered debris down the front straight away. There was green laps ahead with good clean racing until we hit lap 16 and the 99 car of Larry Anderson collected the 32 of Tim Feldhake, both cars retired for the night. We had several attempts of restarting lap 16 but Bill Dugger, Dave Matthew, and Timmy Snelling all had seperate issues. Once restarted we went green the rest of the race until Big Jim Norton threw the checkered.

Green Flag was thrown once again and we had great door to door racing until lap 6 when Heath Sharp grenaded his second enging of the season. Once the cars were lined up we went green, but it was short lived when Justin Jones was pinned between 2 other cars, then pushed down into the tractor tires in turn two. Cars took a while to get lined back up into position. When Big Jim Norton the the green we had wheel to wheel action for the race remainder.

ohsomthin............you read this forum all the time. You have to know that CCS is no longer running crates and that I57/I64 is no longer running late models. You are a broken record with your posts.

mj wheat ,does that surprise you that they cut the pay look at when the fast track crates were there last and read how their pay was cut also, I know they only had 10 cars but when you are racing a series and you advertise $1200 to win and pay only $600 sometimes you take it on the chin, need to ask Richard why? as it sound like there were plenty of cars in all classes for a change there saturday night. he has a good track just needs to pay the same week in and week out regardless as you have to take the good with the bad and hope it evens out over the race season. jmo

Pay was not cut

I was approached by a race car driver tonight and asked why the pay had been cut. I made one call and discovered that NONE OF THE PAY HAD BEEN CUT! It would be alot better if someone would call and ask instead of posting on here. Mistakes do happen when checks are written, so if a driver has questions about pay always ask someone. Wheat your check was made out for $175 and that is correct.

JIM

Ok then, when I was at the pay window other drivers getting there checks were asking why/if their pay had been cut as well. I asked the lady giving out checks if my pay amount was correct. She had no clue! Why dont you post a pay out sheet for each class at the pill draw booth so both drivers and the person handing out the checks will know what is correct or at

that's wrong

Wheat,
I am going to bring it to Richard's attention to post copies of all payouts on that building. I believe this will keep problems from happening and also drivers need to know what to expect. If I was a first timer to the track, I would find it helpful to see it posted at pill draw. That payout you posted was changed 2 months ago or so, and the pay was returned to the same as 2007 season. You know my number and I will always find answers for you if I don't know them. Hope this will help all drivers and crews.

payout

Speedway PR, You need to update your website so everyone know's. You up pitpasses to $30 & cut the pay? That really makes alot of sense, now come up with another lame excuse....

Ccs

I have to agree w/ Wheat on this one. All i have heard all year is $600 to win $100 to start. Show up along w/ 22 other mods and get $150 for 4th. U have cut our pay but are still charging $30 for pit pass. Dont get me wrong i love running on your track and i know im not out there to make money but i cant even break even for the night when i finish fourth in a modified feature and dont tear a thing up. U have a great track and is a blast to race on but i cant afford to come back for that kind of money.

"VERY" well put 12modracer! I have raced religiously at CCS for the past 3 years and also really like the facility and love racing there as well. I allways at least bring 2 of us into the pits and usually have two to four people in the stands. I said nothing when pit passes were raised mid season with no notice to $30.00, because I thought that was fair being that they had raised the payout in all classes! Now all of a sudden payout is cut the same way "with no notice"and pit passes stay the same???? I know times are tuff, but come on! There is a defenet lack of communication between CCS and the people that support them!!!!!!!!! If CCS was run/promoted the way it should be it Would be a goldmine! JMO!

mj

mj why dont u buy it and see what u can do with it
u have a 10,000 dollar investment try a 750,000 dollar investment
and see how well u do
ill be there every week
