Once again we had an awesome night of racing, on the always fast and smooth 1/3 mile high banked clay oval track. The pits were packed with plenty of cars for all 3 classes, and they all showed up to do battle. There was excitement right from the start of the evening. The heat races were action packed with many battles being settled on the last lap. The stands were packed with race fans and they were on their feet most of the time with door to door excitement. During intermission entertainment was provided by several children racing their Power Wheels against each other. We will do this again later on in the year, as everyone had a great time with it. Then we fired the action back up with the
Modified Feature: 20 cars started the 20 lap event. The first caution of the night came on lap 4 when Travis Koehler spun his #00 machine in turn 1. When we restarted lap 4 Brent Warner looped the 20 car in turn three. We went gree with plenty of cars changing places until lap six when Michael Fox & Chris Moore had problem both cars retiring. Then on lap seven Randy McMahon looped his #8 ride in turn three, we lined the cars up and once again went green. There was great action between all cars many positions being swaped back and forth until lap sixteen when Fred Cox brought out the caution. We went green again and it was the best race of the season with Brian Shaw, Kelby Simmons, and Kelly Duvall all trading spots for the win. The fans were on their feet and cheering for their favorite, when the checkered flew!

Street Stock Feature: 16 cars were lined up for their 20 lap race. We went green with great racing until lap eleven when the 7M ride of Kaleb Miller spun in front of traffic and collected the 14 car of Timmy Snelling and the 88 of Bill Dugger. On the restart of lap eleven Miller spun the 109 car of Ryan Pratt in turn two bringing that lap to a yellow again. Lap eleven took another hit when the 26 car of Rance Carter had problems and scattered debris down the front straight away. There was green laps ahead with good clean racing until we hit lap 16 and the 99 car of Larry Anderson collected the 32 of Tim Feldhake, both cars retired for the night. We had several attempts of restarting lap 16 but Bill Dugger, Dave Matthew, and Timmy Snelling all had seperate issues. Once restarted we went green the rest of the race until Big Jim Norton threw the checkered.

Lined everyone back up for a restart and went green again Ed Martiszus spun Jim Cole's 00 car in turn four. This caused another restart, and the drivers were getting anxous. Green Flag was thrown once again and we had great door to door racing until lap 6 when Heath Sharp grenaded his second enging of the season. Once the cars were lined up we went green, but it was short lived when Justin Jones was pinned between 2 other cars, then pushed down into the tractor tires in turn two. Cars took a while to get lined back up into position. When Big Jim Norton the the green we had wheel to wheel action for the race remainder.
