Condolences to the Marion Blankenship Family

Marion Blankenship, driver of the 3B UMP Modified, passed away late last night. Marion raced for several years at Fayette County Speedway and other area tracks. His passion for racing has continued with his sons Kris and Tyler. Tyler is currently the driver of the 3B USSE/UMP Street Stock at Fayette County Speedway.

The management and staff of Fayette County Speedway extend their deepest sympathies to the Blankenship Family - Marion will be missed!

Really sorry to hear. Our prayers are with the Blankenships. Marion was great guy, I've raced what seems like millions of laps right beside him and thats something that will live on, we started racing every week with him in the mid 90's, a diehard racer he was, always right up there battling for the lead, I definately wont forget that familiar 3b right beside me.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Blankenship family. Marion always went all out when racing and we had some very good and fun races going up against him. God bless him and his family, from the #24 of Mike Harrison, car owners and crew members, Marion you will be missed!!!!

I met these boys a couple years ago when I went to look at sctuff they had for sale… Great guys! I hate to hear that Marion’s time has come to leave this earth. My thoughts are with the Blankenship family.
