(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams competed in five events last weekend at five different race venues. R.J. Conley had the lightest schedule of all three Conley drivers, as he just competed on Saturday in the annual 'Hoosier Dirt Classic' at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN. After being one of the fastest cars in hot laps, R.J. put on too soft of tire for qualifying and qualified poorly. He rebounded in the heat race to advance from his eighth place starting position to finish in the second spot and gain a transfer to the O'Reilly NARA Dirtcar Series-sanctioned, $7,000 to win feature.

In the 50-lap 'Hoosier Dirt Classic," R.J. rolled off the grid fourth and pressured second place runner Dennis Erb early on in the event. He was running fourth around the halfway point when a caution came out, which stuck R.J. on the bottom of the double-file restart. The track started to bolt down in the middle of the 1/4-mile oval and R.J. was hung out to dry on the bottom. He eventually got back up to the racing groove, but he had dropped four spots in the process. He got back around Earl Plessinger late in the race to finish in the seventh place spot. R.J. is currently leading the O'Reilly NARA Dirtcar Series point standings, but he is unsure of whether or not he will run the entire circuit.

R.J.'s brother Rod competed in the two Macs Series events last weekend. Friday night, "Hot Rod" brought his Conley Trucking #71r Rocket / Draime Monte Carlo to the Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, MD for a $5,000 to win event. He ended up running thirteenth at the end of the race, although he was as high as sixth at one point. Things didn't get much better for Rod on Saturday, as he finished sixteenth in the second MACS race of the year at the Virginia Motor Speedway in Saluda, VA. That event was also a BB&T Challenge Series show and paid $10,000 to win.

Delmas Conley, the patriarch of the racing Conley family, landed two Top Fives over the weekend. On Friday night, the 2003 Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Inductee won his heat and ran third in the 'Topless 50' at the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, OH. That race paid $2,000 to win. The next night found the familiar #71 at K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, OH for the season opening, $2,000 to win show. Delmas finished third in the dash to earn an inside front row starting position for the feature. He ended up running fourth at the racy oval in south-central Ohio.

The Conley's are not 100% sure of where they will be competing this coming weekend, but chances are that all three Conley Motorsports, Inc. drivers will stay close to home and visit the K-C Raceway in nearby Chillicothe on Saturday night for another $2,000 to win show. There is an outside chance of Rod traveling to the Bluegrass State of Kentucky this weekend for a pair of Battle of the Bluegrass Series events. Friday night's show is at the Richmond (KY) Raceway, with the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY hosting the Saturday night show. Rod ran very well last year in the Dirt Track World Championship at Bardstown last fall.
