LIMA, OH (6-29-07) – The O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions rolled into Limaland Motorsports Park for the 6th leg of the 25th Annual UNOH Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by RacingJunk.com with only one driver having a shot at the $50,000 bonus money. Dale Blaney opened Ohio Sprint Speedweek with a win at Attica Raceway Park, then showed the huge Fremont crowd why he has won the last 3 out of 4 times he has raced at the “Track That Action Built”. After Fremont, Blaney was the only driver with two wins going into the final two events. If any driver is able to win 4 of the 7 events, he becomes $50,000 richer. Dale Blaney could do it in grand fashion by also picking up another Ohio Sprint Speedweek championship if he should find his way to victory lane on Saturday night.

Kenny “The Mouse” Jacobs would take the initial lead at the drop of the green flag from his front row starting position with pole starter Blaney in tow. Two of the winningest drivers in All Star history showed the capacity crowd why they sit at the top of the rankings. Blaney ran the low side while Jacobs blasted around the top of the ¼ mile bullring. Byron Reed challenged Blaney for second several times, but just couldn’t quite get around Blaney who appeared to be hanging back waiting to pounce.

Blaney would eventually get his shot at Jacobs on a mid-race restart where he drove hard into turn one and rocketed past Jacobs, taking the lead as the crowd jumped to their feet and cheered. Lapped traffic was of no concern to Blaney as he looked like a master of his craft passing backmarkers at will while Reed and Jacobs battled for second place. Reed was finally able to get around the veteran and crossed the line behind Blaney. Shane Stewart, who started 13th, came home fourth with local favorite Phil Gressman rounding out the Top Five.

In heat race action, Mark Keegan, Dale Blaney, Cory Seeling, and Paul May showed the way to the checkered flag. The Outerwears C-main was won by Mike Dunlap. The UNOH B-main was won by Chad Blonde who was the 2006 All Star Rookie of the Year.

The pits were packed with 52 cars at Limaland as the NRA 360 regulars also joined in the mix for the All Star’s annual trip to the fantastic facility owned by the University of Northwestern Ohio. The track was in great shape and the competition level was high as the 25th annual week of events was winding down.

The All Stars travel to Eldora Speedway on Saturday, June 30th as Dale Blaney will make his attempt at the $50,000 bonus money as well as the Speedweek championship.
