Court approves Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway permit

interesting note is they can only race on Saturdays and won't be ready till mid-April.. Sounds like no NDRL event at the end of March..

Dr.Smith aka Turd in the Punch Bowl. I hope KLMS is successful. The 3 times I've been there, the racing was good.

What I want to know is why didnt the new owners check on this BEFORE booking such a big event? Think of all the advertising the NDRL had to do and now out that money! Not a good way to start your new track! Sucks because I was planning on making the trip for the saturday show!

If the NDRL event does not happen, it will be because of the weather. The Saturday night only is for weekly racing and does not include special events. This was done in conjunction with PIR operating on Friday nights. Also, the permit states that all racing has to be concluded by 11:30.

That's crazy. I know I've left that track around 1 AM when they used to do the Frostbuster shows. NDRL still has it on their schedule...so I'll still plan to attend until I see something official.

I read last night where ndrl posted that klms had updated their website pic also said they were 3 weeks out and klms had a lot of work to do but it is still on and if anything changes they would announce that

They're going to have to make a decision soon. 2 1/2 weeks out now, and I'm sure they have people traveling from all over. I would love to see the race, but I also understand where they're coming from. I don't want to drive 3 hours to see terrible track conditions. Sounds like the new ownership has their heads screwed on right.

Guess I'll head the other direction to LaSalle. I imagine that will pull a pretty good amount of cars...especially now.
