The Crate American Racing Series (C.A.R.S.) has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the 4th Annual MIDWEST SPEED EXPO Racers Trade Show and Swap Meet to be held on January 20-21, 2007 in Springfield, Illinois at the ORR Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
C.A.R.S. is fresh off of their inaugural season which was met with great success in the Midwest, providing an affordable weekly race series which was designed to bring more racers and fans to the sanctioned tracks. C.A.R.S. was formed by a group of track promoters, car owners and track officials who realized the need for an economical solution to today’s rising costs of racing.
C.A.R.S crowned Danny Jolly as their inaugural season champion and awarded him $10,000 cash as well as a C.J. Rayburn Race Cars chassis and other contingency awards for his efforts.

Show hours for the MIDWEST SPEED EXPO have been adjusted for this years event to 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on both Saturday and Sunday. The shortened hours on Saturday will allow more time for exhibitors to prepare for attendance at the United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) Late Model, Modified, Sportsman and Street Stock divisions banquet held in Springfield in conjunction with the expo.
What better way to spend a wintery Saturday or Sunday just before the start of the new season? The MIDWEST SPEED EXPO is your opportunity to look over and purchase both new and used parts for your racing program as well as to talk with representatives from area tracks to catch up on any rule changes.
