Lexington, KY -- Officials with the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts and Cruise with the Champions are happy to announce that the 2006 O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Champion will once again be setting sail on the famed cruise. In addition, Cruise with the Champions will be the sponsor the Rookie of the Year chase this season, making it the Cruise with the Champions Rookie of the Year.
Cruise with the Champions is a unique experience in which the Champions from various racing series throughout the country journey on a seven-day cruise from January 7th to January 14th. In addition, race fans from across the country have the opportunity to travel on the cruise, while meeting their favorite drivers on a relaxing winter vacation. The 2007 Cruise with the Champions trip will leave from Miami, FL and visit the popular vacation islands of San Juan, St. Maartan, and St. Thomas. The popularity of Cruise with the Champions has exploded within the last several years, and 2007 will mark the 13th voyage of the annual trip.
In addition to the $12,000 first place paycheck, the 2006 O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series Champion and guest will set sail on the Cruise with the Champions. Likewise for the 2006 Cruise with the Champions Rookie of the Year, who receives a $2000 stipend at the season-ending Championship Awards Banquet.
