Barberville, FL --- The Florida Tour points chase ended Friday night with Dale McDowell (1719) edging Rick Eckert (1716) in the final tally that considered time trial, heat race, last chance qualifier and A-Main results. Scott Bloomquist (1708), Bart Hartman (1707) and Steve Francis (1706) followed.
Through the first three WoO Late Model season point events, which only accounted for A-Main finishes, Hartman (115) led McDowell (109), Francis (107) and Bloomquist (106).
Full-fender action at Volusia concludes for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series on Sunday night with a 50-lap A-Main paying $12,000 to win headlining the 33rd Winter Nationals in Florida. The biggest field of LM entries seen anywhere throughout the week is expected to sign in as Volusia is the only track in operation on Feb. 8.
