(CHICKAMAUGA, GEORGIA) Dale McDowell came into the weekend second in the
World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings and after two seventh
place finishes, he is still second in points behind Scott Bloomquist. At
the $10,000 to win show at the Eagle Raceway in Lincoln, NE on Friday, Dale
finished second in his heat and seventh in the 60-lap main event at the racy
1/3-mile oval. On Saturday, Dale traveled to the Farley Speedway in Farley,
IA for another $10,000 to win show. Dale lost a cylinder in his Petroff
Towing / J&J Steel / New Vision Graphics #17m Larry Shaw / Racetek Grand
Prix early on in the 50-lapper, but finished seventh in the main event after
being as high as third.

"It was a decent weekend for us," stated McDowell on Monday. "We lost some
points to (Scott) Bloomquist, but it is a long season. On Friday at Eagle,
the double-file restarts really hurt us. Then on Saturday night, we dropped
a cylinder and the restarts killed us there also. They would fly by me on
the restart until I got up to speed and then I could run with them."

Dale is unsure about this weekend, but if he goes anywhere, he will be
attending the O'Reilly Southern Allstar Show at the Cleveland Speedway in
Cleveland, TN. The SAS show this Saturday night will pay $5,000 to win.
Dale will be taking a few days off this weekend to recoup from the busy past
couple of weeks and to gear up for the busy stretch ahead. As soon as Dale
makes a decision about this weekend, you can find it first at
